Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out...

I hope he goes to Arsenal doesn't play and gets loaned out to the mackems when they go down. -
Win all your home games and you're there pretty much.

Why? They aren't in the Champions League and he was absolutely bollocks in the prem. Not that one. He's from Espanyol. Yeah just seen that. I thought they'd sign some form of defender at some point. Seems Ramos doesn't think it's that urgent.

So you reckon next it'll be "Newcastle to fly Arshavin into Empire State Building?" Nah it'll be Newcastle sign Mido.

Jonas Gutierrez signed from Mallorca on 5 year deal

Tevez is hard running but has skills. From what i see, Jonas is like Emerton. Hard running and do the simple things right but do not expect him to a flair player like Ginola or Robert. I say he is like a bigger version of Milner with (sad to say) less skills which is not really inspiring. Think he will fill in as one of the right/left backs if needed cos his workrate and defensive qualities are his main plusses. Hard running, quick, decent cross, lack of silky skills. Sounds like a Gillespie type to me Just need a Ginlola type for the left then. -
What about Beye

Faye? Smith? Shola?

I'm sure we were linked with him a couple of years ago, looked a good player in the euros Roeder was offered him and another Romanian for enxt to nothing and rejected them.

I wonder how many members his 'Association' has? This site had 2500 odd. I bet if you email the press or setanta or something telling them his association is a load of bollocks and we have 2500 members, someone off here could be the 'Official' spokesmen for the fans as I bet we on here have a much better idea of what other fans think. Only problem is whoever it was wouldnt say what the media want.

Yes, can do all I think.

Anyone know whether we officially hold his registration until the legalities are resolved? ie could this drag on and we're not able to play him? Not sure at all. If they're after compensation, that suggests that they've accepted he's actually gone but they want some £££ to soften the blow. If they could hold on to his registration I think they'd have already threatened to. Just guessing though - I could be totally wrong. They can't do anything anyway, it's EU law now that players can buy themselves out of a contract if they have 2 or less years remaining on their contract it's just he's only the third so they probably just want to have a go at getting some money on the off chance nobody really understands it. If he's bought himself out of his contract they have to release his registration. The amount of the compensation is not straightforward though, so unless the player & club agree amicably (obviously not the case here) it will at least have to go to some arbitration panel if not to court. Just wondering whether or not we can play him until it's resolved. With this law it's simple, the amount of compensation received is the remaining value left on that contract. this is a case where this occured. http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/administration/117623_43278.pdf -

Everytime I hear pearce I expect some kind of robotic killing machine to come onto the pitch and start going after the players.

Well made up. You should be a journalist. Jimenez is in Dubai, media have been speculating he's looking for investors, in terms of transfers this could make sense. Not saying it is happening, just could make sense. That's exactly what I thought when I heard he had gone there. surely Jimenez wouldn't be negotiating the sale of the club. Be happy either way, a shed load of cash or a potentially world class player.

I thought Lazio where skint

like I said earlier in the thread, nobody will be prepared to pay the 6M. He will leave for about 4M i can imagine. Still too much? Well from what I've read we are looking at 3 if they want 6 now, Im sure we'll meet them in the middle somewhere.

I pray you don't mean Carroll. Nah he mean's Shola.

No bother.

Ok, but I've only started posting recently so I wasn't aware of that and found the subject quite interesting. On another note, is posting any fixture from the list contravening this? Does it just have to be a full list because people do put the fixture on the match threads etc and discuss them.
-
No but they don't have the license to publish all of the team names as EA have those rights. Q. What does a video game have to do with the Premier League fixture list? A. Nothing. Yes it does they are both governed by copyright law.
-
Sadly no. Why, it's not a breach of copyright. The forum would still get shut down. Well how come Konami doesn't get sued for doing it with the team names? They do actually pay for some sort of rights I believe. Player names and the one or two real clubs they have.
