Rafa would make Stones better when Guardiola couldn't? I feel as though Stones knows if he makes a mistake he's out of that Man City team. Rafa would put an arm around him and make him part of the backbone of a new look Newcastle. Stones has been poor of late but I definitely think there is a better player in there. I don't think Rafa is known to be one to do that. I do think Rafa would get something out of him though, much like he did with Lascelles. I'd have Stones here as a long-term replacement for Fernandez perhaps, but on paper I don't think he's a signing that would immediately oust any of our starters. Could probably be a project trying to help him find his confidence again.

He might not know exactly what is going on with this takeover but he apparently knows the process itself quite well as he's been involved in one or two. It helps understand where things may be at if nothing else.

I don't think it's so much that he's worried, but more that he was looking for attention and someone called him out on his tweet. His response is based on hearsay.

We'll never have another takeover bid with this kind of finance behind it. This is a chance to transform the club for the next couple of decades at the very least. The club needs this, big time.

Yes. Like before this is just 1 MP asking for something that they won’t get. A Sheffield MP asked about them intervening a few weeks ago and was rejected. This is very much the same. The MP’s know it will be rejected, but stuff like this is an easy win for supporters. For Conservative MP’s it also helps to deflect the attention off the handling of the pandemic. It is nothing more than PR.
