Yes, they've done a good job getting into that position, even using the loan system with the current obvious examples.
-
We've played 7 matches in 19 days, including a CL quarter final both ties. It's frankly miraculous we've put together such a good run.
-
We spent 3 months unable to defend, didn't manage a clean sheet in ages - at least in part because we were injuieies decimated at centre half.
-
How weird is this fixture? It seems to rotate between one side giving the other a twatting, usually going with home form, but even so, it's fucking weird. If i were a betting man - and I am - I wouldn't bet on this fixture, not ever.
-
Nah, they deserve it over the two legs. The fact that we pushed the best side in Europe at the moment so close, though. Jesus. Last time i went to a EC QF at Villa Park was 1983, and we lost against Juventus, the best side I've ever seen in the flesh. PSG aren't quite that good, but they are a phenomenal side this season. Hope they win it.

Absolutely fucking proud of that performance, what fucking guts. PSG are so good, i hope they win it. But fuck, what a ride, what a ride.

"North London Forever" = super cringe.

What a team they are. Sometimes you lose and you just can't complain. TBH we did well to keep it to 2-1 until the death. 2-1 and it's not the end of the world, still alive. 3-1 and it's not dead, but unless we score at least 1 and ideally 2 early goals next week, it's over. I think in that form and that mood last night, they'd have beaten anyone. If we go out, I really hope they win it.

I didn't mean this. I AM SCARED.

I see Real on their way out. I tell you this, we are winning this thing. There are too many little strokes of luck for it not to happen.
-
If we hadn't spent a third of this season not even bothering to try to defend, we'd be sitting pretty now. We've got a full squad back now, and are still alive in two cups, which is great, and that's 7 wins in a row in all competitions, but I still feel we've probably left it too late in the league.
-
Jesper Olsen is probably better in nets than our Olsen, tbh.
-
Our bench tonight: Olsen, Disasi, Mings, Maatsen, Garcia, Asensio, Onana, Malen, Watkins. I don't think we've ever had a stronger bench, and after a season of injury decimation, we've got almost everyone fit at just the right time. And having said that, we'll put in a shit performance against Brighton, because, well, Villa.
-
Guys, it's HAPPENING.

We're playing some bunch of no-hoper middle east club in a friendly. Asensio has scored a belter. It makes me laugh. Arteta: "It's impossible to sign a striker, especially in January" Emery: *signs Asensio, who scores 7 goals in 5 competitive games* (NB not including goal against no-hopers tonight). Asensio is from a different planet, the guy is on a whole different level.

Easily the better side on the day, from start to finish. Congratulations. And as a bonus, Slot can stick that right up his arse, the smarmy cunt.
-
Got to have a go. Everyone is a good side at this point. You'd probably look at Bayern over two legs against Leverkusen and think, shit no, but we beat them. Fuck it, quarter finals, I'd much rather play a comparatively unknown quantity than Liverpool against whom there would be an inbuilt and media-fuelled cringe. Obviously, I'd rather have Oldham and Walsall between us and the final, but that's not happening. It's all relative.
-
If Atletico win this, I will start to believe the stars may be aligned for us. Also, what a fucking loan signing Asensio is, what a great, great move.
-
They'll be crying in the streets of Cork, Oslo and Stockholm!
-
If Liverpool go out, the stars are fucking aligned. We're winning the big cup* * again
-
One minute: "Sorry Mrs Dinner Lady, we'll be bust by Christmas if we don't get your £13 an hour off the wage bill" Next day: "OMG WE ARE BUILDING A BILLION CAPACITY STADIUM ON THE MOON!111!!11"

Was great seeing you up the back of the Holte again for the Cardiff match, hopefully you can get down for another match soon, Toony x
-
We are finally starting to find some league form. Mings has been imperious of late, that's a big big plus for us after a season of chaotic defence. Torres almost back from injury as well and Kamara seems to be approaching his best after his ACL. Hopefully some starts aligning shit going down.
-
To be fair, we didn't have much luck when, on this ground in an early round, we got dumped because the ref spotted Mings doing something he'd prob have gotten away with most of the time. However, I will admit, things have gone our way tonight. After a season of abysmal injury luck, though, fuck that, who cares. Also, bringing in players like Asensio and Rashford in January when we needed to strengthen quickly for the remainder, good work, that.
