Hang on. Everyone kicks off at exactly the same time, said the Hairy Handed tosspot. Then we see Man U ko held up for a delay at Chelsea, but currently the Man U game seems to be 2.5 minutes ahead of the Chelsea one.

Did I just type that or think it?

I agree. Who gives a toss who wins the league, anyway. I'm red-buttoning the blue shite. I've got a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in the fridge. If they go down, the Mrs and I are going to be guzzling that in the garden later, before retiring upstairs Chez Brummie for a prolonged bout of "the shit have gone down" celebratory sex. Oh yes.

Ha ha, quaity.

Ooh, McFadden limping at St Andrews. Interesting conundrum this. I clearly want the vile shite to go down, but I need them to beat Blackburn ideally.

Quality. You'll miss him. [/Captain Obvious] He hates Blues and tells the media how much he hates them. He's played out of position all season this year without a grumble. He stuck with us through some shit times and never moaned, despite being a first choice CB with a decent international side. He's one of us. I'm really, really going to miss him.

Shop window innit. *taps nose whilst chuckling*

Chelsea fans everywhere have just started weeping in unison. Bramblinho played a blinder at our place last week.

Apparently Olof Mellberg has bought 3000 Villa shirts, signed them, and every Villa fan at Upton Park today gets one. That's a nice gesture. I'll miss the big bearded viking virgin slayer. *wells up*

Swap deals often talked about by fans but very rarely used by clubs. Swap deal being talked about between Liverpool and Villa, not just the fans. Lets see if the deal does involve players if/when it happens, as I said it very rare when deals happen that involve clubs trading players as part of the deal. MON said Liverpool faxed an offer of "a mish mash of players and some money" and has said several times there's nothing happening, so no real talk of a swap deal going on (see MON's strop fest at press conference yesterday) Also, be serious,TT, Barry's not going to leave for Newcastle. He wants CL football. Also, much as we like Milner, we don't like him that much. FWIW I think he'll go to the RedScouse. I'll be disappointed (I'd prefer him to stay), but so long as the money is OK, not heartbroken. The disappointment stems from the fact that although he's not the quality of player to get Liverpool from 4th to 1st, he is the quality of player to get Villa from 6th or so to pushing for 4th (in as much as one can realistically push for 4th), so he'll be hard to replace

I know which I'd rather have out of Lennon and Pennant. And it isn't Lennon.

Wigan defended brilliantly against us last week. Assuming Potato Head doesn't do a dodgy deal with Ferguson, I can see them frustrating Man United. However, the most important thing in all of today's matches is three points for the Toon! COME ON NEWCASTLE!

He's rubbish at left back. If he gets wind of that he won't be signing for you. And as for 7m, you're having a laugh.

I don't think Liverpool have the money required to propel them to 1st place, that's the problem. There's a big gap between the Sky4 and the rest of us, but there's a growing gap between the top two and third and fourth.

You say that like it is a negative thing. He's not got the experience Hargreaves has, but he's as good as Carrick was when he left Spurs. Carrick was the main reason Spurs got to 5th place that season, you've just said yourself Barry has only performed for half a season. This season. He's still a very good player and an England international, and worth considerably more than 10m. I'd estimate 15-16m at least. If they want him, they can pony up the cash. If they haven't got the cash, then they can do one.

Incidentally, I suspect the main reason Benitez is attempting to push cast offs on MON is because he's got no money this summer. I also think that leaking the offer to the Liverpool Echo when we had a crucial game the next day was a shitty, shitty trick.
-
Aye was shocked to see him say that. Maybe it was taken out of context to sound like he wanted to sell though. Mind you i think i read somewhere that he would consider a bigger offer. O'Neills body language suggests that he believes Barry wants to go. If i was a Villa fan i wouldn't worry O'Neill's a good manager and Barry, albeit a very good player, isn't a world beater. I could see them getting 20m for him. I can't see him going for anywhere near that amount, £14 million max and that would be too much. I think Liverpool will try and push some of their cast offs in as part of the deal, possibly Finnan. He won't want cast offs, especially not 32 year old ones. They can stick their shit goalkeeper up their arses, too. He's an England midfielder. How much did Michael Carrick go for? I certainly don't see how he can be rated at 10m, that's a joke.
-
Got to trust the manager. He got a relegated doomed squad to mid table last year, and without spending excessively last summer has got us to (probably) 6th. I trust him.
-
Barry will go, nailed on. As I've mentioned here a few times, he's a very good player, but he's had at best half a season this year. If he went for a decent price, I genuinely wouldn't be that bothered (so long as we replace him with someone with a bit of quality - easier said than done, mind). He'll get rotated into obscurity at Liverpool, though
-
Keegan obviously did the right thing, then, as Thompson turned into a model pro and has had a good career. He was only 19, wouldn't read too much into it.
-
He's a billionaire you nutter His personal fortune was over £2 billion before he took over.. £1800 million when he took over, £1200 million now. That is 33% of his wealth lost since coming here. Only two years left at this rate "The only way to become a millionaire by running a football club is to start off as a billionaire". I don't know who said that.

Tony Mowbray can speak English but with a strangely mangled diction. Maybe he could be your halfway house? Thats just a good Boro accent! Surely Mowbray has also suffered some kind of head trauma to sound like that though? I've got mates of the Boro persuasion, and he sounds like they would if they'd spent 3 months in intensive care or had a stroke.
