It's difficult to make out very much at all on teams on the basis of two very differing games at the start of the season. You weren't as bad as you looked after we beat you at our place last year. People love our league because they see the tradition, the excitement, the passion of it and they want a bit of it. It's also handily in the English language. Nah, we need to. Several times last season we had TWO keepers on the bench, and didn't fill all the places, we were so short. We've only signed 3 players this summer, too. Right back, left back are where we need more. I genuinely would have kept Ashley Young. He might be 38 but he kept Matty Cash out of the team for chunks of last season. And back up keeper to replace lettuce-hands Olsen.

I still feel the same. Our problem was that Mings shepherds the defence in playing that brilliantly, whilst having the pace to make it work. After we lost him, the rest of the defence shat the bed. Torres came on in really bad circumstances, having played left back most of pre-season. It was a poor day at the office, but it's one game, there's no need for anyone (on our side) to over-react based on that. I am way more concerned that we have lost Buendia (prob our best player pre-season) and Mings in less than a week, both to really bad injuries. We're fucking unlucky like that. Diego Carlos snapped his achilles in the second game of last season and was out for almost the entirety of the season, and now this.
