"Harry respects West Ham" Oh, that's nice of him. The power players have these days, fucking nuts.
-
Don't really know. Torres is a left footed CB so you'd think he'd be the man. I think that would accelerate a LB signing, hence the Acuña links today I suspect.
-
Surely other potential buyers will look at that Maguire demand and think twice.

It takes more than just having the best players to make a league the best in the world. When was the last time the best 3 players in the world all played in the Premier League, for example? Never? People love our league because they see the tradition, the excitement, the passion of it and they want a bit of it. It's also handily in the English language. Nobody is ever going to give much of a shit about the result of Al-Jankovic vs Al-Jarreau.

Zero. Imagine playing a high line with him in it. FWIW I think we will probably perservere with Torres, Konsa, Carlos and Chambers. Maybe even Feeney from the kids. Unless a great, financially sensible opportunity comes along.

Nah, we need to. Several times last season we had TWO keepers on the bench, and didn't fill all the places, we were so short. We've only signed 3 players this summer, too. Right back, left back are where we need more. I genuinely would have kept Ashley Young. He might be 38 but he kept Matty Cash out of the team for chunks of last season. And back up keeper to replace lettuce-hands Olsen.

Hiding his teeth, I see.

I still feel the same. Our problem was that Mings shepherds the defence in playing that brilliantly, whilst having the pace to make it work. After we lost him, the rest of the defence shat the bed. Torres came on in really bad circumstances, having played left back most of pre-season. It was a poor day at the office, but it's one game, there's no need for anyone (on our side) to over-react based on that. I am way more concerned that we have lost Buendia (prob our best player pre-season) and Mings in less than a week, both to really bad injuries. We're fucking unlucky like that. Diego Carlos snapped his achilles in the second game of last season and was out for almost the entirety of the season, and now this.

Moreno, who is way better than Digne, is still injured from end of last season. I can't see us having Acuna, Moreno and Digne, so yep, Digne clearly offski if this is true. Emery clearly never been entirely convinced by him.
-
He's been brilliant since joining, not going to judge him on one match.

I'm back! Worst performance under Emery, even if first half we played some decent stuff. Reminded me of your showing at our place in that sense. Bad day at the office for us, good day for you. Not as bothered about the result as I am about the Mings injury, though. He's not just been immaculate under Emery, he brings out the best in Konsa. He's that important for us - missed 12 games under us, we lost 9 of them and only won one. I also thought him picking up such a bad injury rattled the rest of the team. We massively miss Moreno at LB as well, not to mention Jacob Ramsey. Digne was awful, I thought Sounds like he may be off to Saudi imminently. One other observation - I hope we never see Bailey again. He is fucking useless and lazy with it.

I recall before the last World Cup Frankie Boyle made a joke along the lines of "Harry Kane will be doing his best to promote gay rights during the tournament, by speaking like he's got three cocks in his mouth"

That's not malicious FFS

Come friendly bombs and fall on Burnley! It isn't fit for humans now, There isn't grass to graze a cow. Swarm over, Death!

It is properly a horrible fucking place. BNP central.

Aaron Ramsey will be a good signing for them, too, will do well under Kompany.
-
It is the way it is universally swept under the carpet by the football media establishment that annoys me. These fawning commentators, for example. It will ultimately be the ruination of the game, if it hasn't already been. I know it's just one match, but you watch this game, first of the season and think, it's already obvious who is winning the league. They could probably swap this entire 11 out for their second stringers and still piss this game. And this league.

Christopher Nolan plot.
-
Weren't there also rumours about him being a bit racist? I definitely recall him saying some particularly unpleasant stuff as a player on racist abuse from fans.

Noisy eaters are worse than Hitler.

"He's a perfectionist" Yes, that's exactly what he wants us all to be saying, the wanker. I might have to turn this off.
-
I hadn't even noticed this. Now I'm really going to be triggered.
-
He's an absolute fucking gobshite who delivers predictable results with unlimited resources and curates his public image more than any other manager. I can't fucking stand him. That shot then of him moaning at Haaland, it's all so carefully crafted. He's so manufactured.

"Ooh, look at me everyone, this player of mine has just effortlessly scored twice and we're absolutely coasting this game whilst in fourth gear, BUT I AM STILL NOT SATISFIED, JUST LOOK AT ME"
