  1. Everything is going to be ok, after all! Rejoice!
  2. Ah, yes, Kilcline with the correct answer.
  3. Do Wales and Croatia have to play each other?
  4. There's a lot of heresay and made up "look at me" twitter nonsense around about this. I reckon it'll amount to next to nothing.
  5. It's alright, we've only borrowed him, and we've still got the receipt.
  6. That's why he never smiles. Mug punter.
  7. Clearly, Tonali has led Zaniolo astray here. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
  8. I guess at least we get to send ours back to Galatasaray if there is a ban. *wink*
  9. If it makes you feel better, some of our fans are also after, errr, an away draw at Wolves. We're 5th. Just taken 10 points from Chelsea, Wolves, Brighton and Palace. Honestly, football fans sometimes are nuts (all clubs). As i have said before, it is amazing the 'new' becomes the 'expected.
  10. Too many changes and first half was poor. Second half we absolutely battered them but it wouldn't go in. Then it did. We're winning this. The first time we play anything like our first XI we'll steamroller it.
  11. To balance that up, btw, I also hate Agbonlahor, painting himself as the latest Villa-man-in-the-media (see also Collymore, although even he is more appropriate than Gabby), when he was a fat fucking waster who did nothing for several years other than hoover up money and drive bitterness in the dressing room. The media really do think football supporters are fucking idiots.
  12. Tried that Rest is Football thing. Lasted literally 10 seconds before his big fucking gormless moron laugh had me turning it off.
  13. Yeah we have that likeable thing too. I think every single one of our fans hated pretty much every single one of our relegation side. Hated them. I certainly hated Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott, and still do. re peaking - why not aim high? In the last 7 years, Leicester City have won the League and the FA Cup. If that can happen, anything can.
  14. Put it this way, for two clubs like you and us, who have spent most of the previous decade largely stinking out the league and existing for the sake of existing, these are extraordinary times.
  15. I am feeling very positively currently. I think we will have lots of ups and downs still, because this time 12 months ago, we were 17th and stinking of relegation, and these things take time. However. The 5-1 at your place was a freak result for us. We went to pieces when we saw Mings go off on oxygen, a few days after Buendia did the same. End of the day, though, it's just one game. We have also been without Moreno and Ramsey (till last week) since last season - our entire first choice left side - and Mings and Buendia, big, big players for us. Despite all that, we are 5th, and our games so far have included you, Chelsea and Liverpool away, not easy fixtures. Winning 5 out of 7 league games despite all the above, and despite not really playing near our best so far is pretty fucking impressive. We've taken more points in 2023 than anyone except Manchester City and Arsenal (who have taken the same). We have won 10 consecutive home league games. Europe will make things tougher, but then again, there's a difference between facing matches against some team from Mostar and Alkmaar than there is Dortmund and PSG, so it shouldn't be too tough to manage, plus we've clearly opted out of the Carabou Cup. I am not saying we'll do this or that, but I see an awful lot of people (not talking about here, but in general) not really paying attention to what we've done.
  16. Lampard opining about managing incredible talents. Up next, Rishi Sunak on building big train lines.
  17. I don't either, as of this last week.
  18. Our real local rivals are also not in the same league. Wolves isn't a derby match for us. However, it is the one upcoming fixture that concerns me, as it looks exactly the sort where more than often, we get nothing. If I was going to bet on points being dropped, it'd be that fixture. It's one of those 'local rivalries' where they get really really wound up about us, but we just shrug at them (like you and Boro). The rest, though, looks a nice run. Amazed we're doing so well. I think the first day disaster was a particular set of circumstances, and when Mings went off I think we collectively lost it (mentally). We haven't really looked like getting really near our best so far this season, so to have taken 15 points and be fifth, given the toughness of our opening games, and given what happened on the first day, is remarkable. Also worth noting - our entire left side in Moreno and Ramsey out injured since last season or the summer (till this last week in Ramsey's case), plus Mings (who is our 'leader' in many ways) and Buendia (a player Emery really clearly likes) almost certainly out for the season, that's a really, really tough bunch of players to have injured.
  19. Not fooling me, toon25. I know you're still on cloud nine over the 6-1.
  20. That was all really tough on Liverpool Ha ha ha, the wankers. Excellent.
  21. Boo hoo everyone hates us, it's a conspiracy when things happen to us that happen to other clubs three times as much. I am having no truck whatsoever with the 'bin dipper' line of criticism, but fuck me, Liverpool at times are unbelievable.
  22. What nonsense. He'd cost significantly more than that.
