If we finished in 4th place and lost the Champions League qualifier would we drop into the Europa cup?

If we finished 4th we'd have to get through a Champions League qualifier. NUFC won't spend money based on the assumption that we would get through that qualifier. Getting into Europe makes it easier to get the players we are interested in. NUFC won't spend a load of money they wouldn't have spent anyway just because we qualify for the Champions League or Europa cup.

It is almost impossible that Barcelona, Real Madrid and/or Bayern Munich would not be able to beat Chelsea to win the Champions League.

Why not just have him make predictions based on the little to no knowledge of football he has? Obviously the BBC aren't hiding the fact he knows nothing or they wouldn't have uploaded this video. It makes you wonder how many of the other 'celebrities' who do predictions actually come up with the predictions themselves.

Watch that and they obviously aren't even James May's predictions. He's reading a script written by someone else.

Things seem to have changed quite a bit in the last month. I can't see Perch leaving in the Summer now. If we qualify for Europe the fringe players will get more games. I'm hoping Simpson and Guthrie stay too. Steve Harper has pretty much confirmed that he will stay for the last year of his contract and is looking to move into coaching. Peter Lovenkrands and Alan Smith are the only players I think will definitely leave.

I think the problem with having a resident Mackem is that they will always get a disproportionate number of replies to their posts purely because they are a Mackem. For example, the "I'd rather have Cattermole than Tiote" post resulted in a hell of a lot of replies!

I hope the SJP crowd are up for this. Our vocal support will be needed, especially if Colo, Cabaye and Tiote are out. With Guthrie also out our midfield could be made up of Jonas, R. Taylor and Gosling! This game could be a banana skin if ever there was one.

I know Obertan isn't a fan's favourite but I think he'll be quite handy in these last 6 games. Bring him on in the last 20 minutes to run at tiring defences like he did against Blackburn.

I'm pretty sure I read that our transfer plans won't change even if we qualify for Europe. In a way I can understand that. Imagine if we qualified for the Champions League. We would be better off treating that as a massive, unexpected bonus and enjoy the ride rather than spend money because of it.
