  1. Hopefully he'll be sent off but instead he'll probably be given licence to foul without the risk of a second booking.
  2. It would be nice to see any sort of goal celebration from a NUFC player. It's been a while.
  3. I'm sure I read we need players who qualify as home grown otherwise we won't have enough to meet the criteria. It will be nice to have a player who could possibly score against his old club. I can't think of anyone else that could apply to in our squad apart from Colback.
  4. Krul would have been out for a season and he wasn't exactly in great form before the injury. I could see him staying for a year in the Championship if it came to it. I'd have thought Cisse will leave at the end of this season no matter what happens.
  5. I'm looking forward to reading the "5 things we learned from the Watford game" from ICNewcastle.
  6. Surprised this thread had dropped to the second page. If/when we get relegated I can see Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Cissé and Janmaat all leaving. Maybe Mbemba too. After that I think the rest who are still in contract will probably stay as there won't be many takers for them.
  7. He must be extremely uninspiring considering how terribly our players perform.
  8. Lowes reckons Sissoko has been very good. Wijnaldum gave ball away for the goal but was good against Arsenal. I reckon persist with the 3. Can he really have been "very good" though? We are playing Watford's second choice 11.
  9. So have Wijnaldum or Sissoko done anything against Watford Reserves in their preferred central midfield positions? Sissoko only plays well on the right wing.
  10. It doesn't seem to matter what formation we play, who we play in which position or who manages the team. The players have to take a massive proportion of the blame.
  11. So that's 367 minutes (without including stoppage time) since we've scored a goal (Coloccini in the 38th minute against Aston Villa). Anyone think we'll score?
  12. We should be planning for the championship now We're already odds on to go down. True but it just goes to show our players are nowhere near as good as they (or some of our fans) think they are. They only turn it on against the top teams and then they still usually end up losing. Playing them in their supposed favourite position and they are still shite.
  13. If we lose to Watford's reserves when we are almost at full strength we may as well get planning for the Championship now.
  14. Jamaal Lascelles, Kevin Mbabu, Siem De Jong, Yoan Gouffran and Florian Thauvin probably to start. Going by who is injured or carrying a 'knock' there doesn't seem too much room to rotate the rest of the team. Darlow or Elliot. Ivan Toney to get a game? Whoever plays, no doubt we'll lose.
  15. His worth is down today but he isn't going to suddenly sell all his shares today. He's more likely to buy shares in SD while they are relatively low (from their highest). That's what he's done in the past. Since buying NUFC his worth has gone from over £1BN, to less than £1BN, to over £3BN. Shares are long term investments. I doubt he's watching his share value on a day by day basis.
  16. I thought he was supposed to be good at headers before he came to NUFC? His headers have been more like that of a defender intentionally heading over their own goal.
  17. 2 points (3 really when taking goal difference into account) from safety. Amazing really that we aren't adrift. Ashley could spend £90 million in the transfer window and it would still be cheaper than getting relegated from the Premiership. Will enough be done?
  18. We'd have won this game easily if our team could take chances.
  19. Oxlade-Chamberlain should have been sent off for two bookable offences. Kicking out at Perez after he dragged Tiote down and the scissor kick on Perez. Ref doesn't book him for either. Corrupt, incompetent or both?
  20. We never get penalty decisions in our favour. We haven't had one for more than a year. We should have had around 6 nailed on penalties in the second half of last season which we didn't get. I think the refs and linesmen have bet their pension pots on Newcastle getting relegated. Either that or Mike Ashley refuses to pay his 'subs' to the Premier League so we get no decisions.
  21. We don't beat the teams below or around us so we look nailed on for relegation.
