  1. The last time we had poor results in pre season we finished 5th. If that's anything to go by, looking at this pre season's results we're going to win the league!
  2. Another good development: - http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-bring-back-players-9737512
  3. Yes, he did most of his post match interviews for Anderlecht in English Good news. It will help him integrate a lot quicker.
  4. Anyone know if he can speak English?
  5. Looks like Lubomir Satka was called up to replace Curtis Good. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/07/latest-injury-revealed-for-newcastle-defender-explains-late-satka-usa-call-up/
  6. So it's L’equipe that has reported that Cabella has torn his quadriceps (group of muscles located in the front of the thigh) and will be out at least until September, with a recovery time of roughly between six and eight weeks. http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/07/remy-cabella-out-until-september-reports/#sthash.ggyueL5q.dpuf
  7. What is his reported injury?
  8. I didn't think NUFC players got paid win/draw bonuses? I thought Mike Ashley based the player bonuses purely on final league placing.

  11. Another mistake in the Chronicle then? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/georginio-wijnaldum-five-things-you-9630379
  12. The Chronicle said that Wijnaldum was 5ft 6in so looking at that photo Dani Koks must be very short.
  13. Does he do that celebration every single time he scores a goal? If he joins, I'd imagine he'd be warned not to do that celebration. Kids would end up copying it. It would be funny to see it live on Sky Sports or BT Sport and hear what the commentator said. MOTD highlights too. If that celebration was available in 'FIFA 16' it would be overused by every player.
  14. With 1 year to run on his contract there's no way he's staying at QPR unless they are happy for him to run his contract down and leave on a free. He could help them get instant promotion back to the Premiership but I doubt he wants to play another season in the Championship.
  15. His celebration is stupid! It is but I hope they add it to the list of celebrations in 'FIFA 16'.
  16. Reading the comments section after that article made me lose all faith in the human race. Regardless of how accurate the report is, its cranking the pressure up on Ashley. Its making people in football across our fans and others pay attention. The longer we go on without landing a decent signing the more bad press Ashley will get... and rightly so. I was referring to the comments from people slagging off Geordie fans for not supporting our team, wanting Alan Pardew sacked, how we should be grateful for Mike Ashley saving the club and people saying we have ideas above our station.

  19. AEK Athens already went bust, Panathinaikos spent £200k on fees in the last two seasons, Olympiakos can probably scrape by on European money. So it's highly unlikely Abeid will be joining any Greek club then. Even if NUFC were willing to let Abeid go for free (no chance) the Greek club wouldn't be able to offer him competitive wages (or any wages with their banks shut and the country about to go bankrupt).
  20. I wonder what will happen to the 'big' Greek football teams considering their country is up shit creek without a paddle money wise.

    Bob Concur

It doesn't matter what he says. It's just words until there is some actual action to follow it up. "Buy your season ticket. We're going to do better. We're going to try in the FA Cup (I notice they haven't mentioned trying in League cup)". Incidentally you don't need a season ticket to go to FA cup matches so why they give that as a reason to buy a season ticket I don't know. Season tickets are a real hard sell when no new players have been bought in yet. I'm sure Mike Ashley would like to win something at NUFC, it's just highly unlikely that he'd spend the money to make that scenario more likely.
  22. There was an article on IcNewcastle last week saying Carr and McClaren aren't, as has been reported "friends". It said they knew each other but not very well.

    John Carver

Carver wanted to be NUFC manager/head coach. Now he's not going to be let's see if he tries to get a manager job somewhere else (or was it just NUFC he wanted to manage). http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11662671/John-Carver-sacked-by-Newcastle-United.html Did Charnley punish himself too? He's the idiot who's decisions put us in the s***. I wonder if he also punished Mike Ashley for appointing him in the first place? NUFC operate the same 'dismissal' technique which The Joker used on his bank job at the start of 'The Dark Knight'.
