Manchester City vs Newcastle United, Saturday 3/10/15 15:00

No Obertan on the bench. -
He celebrated our goals too violently. He'll end up breaking our players jumping on them when they aren't expecting it. He grabbed Perez by the back of the neck and shook him for the second goal. He's a crazy guy.
-
Two blatant penalties not given to NUFC today.
-
We can't afford to rest anyone. They all need the practice so we need to try to play our best, strongest team. The team from the Watford game was: - Krul; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini ©, Haïdara (78' Aarons); Colback, Wijnaldum; Sissoko, Thauvin (88' Obertan), Perez; Cissé (45' De Jong). Subs: Elliot, Lascelles, Williamson, Anita, Obertan, Aarons and De Jong. S.Taylor is supposedly injured again. Are Tiote and Darlow injured as they didn't make the bench on Saturday?

Well at least we're not sleepwalking into a relegation fight this season. We know were in it from day one.

Playing San Marino and only having two players in the box to get on the end of a cross.

None of the above. 1 is the answer according to: - http://www.nufc.com/2015-16html/squad.html

Aye but thats only in England (and Scotland until midnight). Most of the European deadlines are this evening are they not? I don't know. I doubt NUFC would be able to sell Marveaux to any club that would want him. His wages would be too high for the stature of clubs that would be interested in him. He'd have to take a pay cut or have NUFC subsidise his wages. Either that or end his contract by mutual consent, pay him up or loan him out. A few of those options seem unlikely.
-
The transfer window closes on September the 1st at 6pm so there's still time. Having said that, Marveaux is currently recovering from a hernia operation. I think he is due back some time in September.
-
Cissé is pretty much guaranteed to be starting the next 3 games if he's still here. Both NUFC and Cissé can wait until January and then see. Cissé will still have a year and a half left on his contract in January so it's not like NUFC would have to sell him cheaply. It also gives Mitrović half a season to get used to the Premiership without the pressure of being our only out and out striker.
-
Aarons had a very mediocre game against Northampton Town. That didn't exactly make him an obvious choice to start against Arsenal.
-
The trouble for Mitrović is that his card was marked by the media (and refs) before he'd even played a game due to his previous reputation. Unfortunately he hasn't made it difficult for them. Does anyone think NUFC will appeal Mitrović's red card? Even if we did we know the FA wouldn't over turn it. In fact, they'd probably add to the ban calling the appeal "frivolous".
