They're not conclusive proof of anything, no. Then again, the fact that we've publicly expressed interest, the fact that multiple media outlets are reporting that he's our main target, the fact that PSG feel the need to come out and deny the rumors leads you to the reasonable conclusion that something is going on.

Limitations breed creativity. I think the scouting team's focus on these sort of players is their way of trying to get around our limited transfer budgets. Given that we're not spending a whole lot of money either way, I'm just happy that we seem to be finding the good players with contract loopholes instead of the shit ones so far.

Good post if a bit depressing. I agree with the general idea that we can't expect everyone to succeed, but the 25/50/25 ratio is completely made up Common sense probably tells us that most of the players we're signed so far are likely to be pretty decent.

I've got a bad feeling about this year. We've got extremely talented attacking players but no settled back-four and no leadership. We'd probably make it out of this stage even if we got something absurd like Qatar-Iraq-North Korea, but the stage is set for us to end up in the same final qualifying group as Japan and lose a match that will inflict scars upon the Korean football fan's psyche for the next decade.

I doubt we'll be signing much more than Erdinc + 1 more player at a similar price range, and from that perspective it wouldn't make a lot of sense to sign N'Zogbia as there are multiple other positions I would prioritize before adding yet another skillful French winger/inside forward. Still frustrating that other people are signing decent players while we're not though. I hate transfer windows.

Let's not forget we had three players refused US visas, not just one. I suppose most other clubs don't have multiple ex-convicts on their books.

They have decent youths. I figure they're better at this level given that all of them will be malnourished and therefore underdeveloped by adulthood.
