He's a player who'll probably get you around the same amount of goals regardless of the kind of service he's getting because he's capable of making himself chances out of nothing, but not capable of putting it away when he's given stuff on a plate. The lad is utterly and completely random. Randomness is not something you need in a relegation scrap.
