This debacle has got to be the biggest wake up call for them. I imagine up to now they've thought that running a high profile PL club is a piece of piss, when in actual fact the performance of the manager has been papering over the cracks for at least a year. If they don't get their act together the next shit storm to deal with will be the pending departure of Eddie Howe. And that will make the current storm look like a stiff breeze.

If we've only offered him £200k I can see why he has turned it down. It really should have been close to £250k.

He wasn't worthy of a new contract last summer but after the season he has just had, amid all of the transfer speculation, the first thing that should have happened when the last ball was kicked in May was a new contract being offered to him. By not doing so they've allowed him to be unsettled and the rest is now history. The club are being given some savage lessons in the cut-throat world of football right now.

Start looking for a new hobby then cos that's where he is going.
