65K is really quite pitiful for such a big development. Not impressed to be honest. And if looks anything like that Vegas one I will be mortified. We need a football stadium, not a consumer bowl.
-
If that's what gets announced this year then I'd wager it will never happen at all.
-
Pretty much my view too. I still think we will lose, but just leave everything on the pitch and I can live with it. Forget the occasion and just treat it as another big game. If we come away defeated, but having made them run themselves into the ground to beat us, then we can't ask for anything more.

Does this result affect the 5th CL spot in the PL?
-
We'll see. Regardless though, it places some extra scrutiny on NUFC to make a stadium announcement soon.
-
Man Utd's new stadium announcement will put extra pressure on PIF to get their arses into gear & get our stadium done. That is to be welcomed. There's no excuse for their stadium to be finished before ours.

Yep, remember it well. As everyone piled out of the stadium it was like a football fan version of Pearl Harbour. Just people steaming in on each other from all angles. Another memory of that day was just how many coaches we took down. We parked our van in a back street near the ground and a lot of the coaches parked around there too. I remember counting the coaches as they came past us and there was 50 of them at least on that street alone.

The only time I’ve ever done the Transit van thing was Spurs away in the cup in 87, the one where we took 15k down (at least). What an experience that was, camped in a small van with a bunch of mentalists from Walker who had spent the entire night before in The Scrogg on a lock-in. Great times though.

Is there a NUFC fan out there that isnt a catastrophic thinker? Its got nowt to do with "not coping" though. Like I say, I've just had enough of watching cup final defeats. And all of the signs right now suggest that another one is coming. Maybe things will look different when the game comes around though, depending on injuries and how we play at West Ham. Football doesn't bother me that much these days. Like others have mentioned on here, I'm rapidly losing interest in the game in general. I think those who grew up in the 70s/80s watching the game are the most disaffected because the game is almost unrecognisable to that which we grew up with. I didnt watch the Brighton game either btw. Not because I felt pessimistic about the outcome, more just apathy about it. That's why I wasn't that surprised about the dreadful atmosphere.

There’s definitely a bit of reverse psychology going on in my head though. I mean I’d happily miss out on the experience of watching it if that’s the price to be paid for us winning it.
-
I’d say not wanting to watch another Wembley no-show, the sixth in a row, is a pretty good reason to miss it to be honest. Once again, events are conspiring against us for a trophy win. But the long term prospects for the club remain positive, so long as the current ownership don’t renege on their commitment and deliver what they have promised in terms of infrastructure.

Bore off with your "shite support" bait. After 40 years of crushing let-downs I'm not prepared to witness another one. Quite frankly I'm bored of it. A lot of it is probably down to who the oppostion is too, as I absolutely despise them. If we were playing City or Villa I don't think I'd feel the same way.
-
The prospect of watching our lot sit in stoney silence whilst those rats sing their dreary hymns to the backdrop of a two or three goal canter is the main reason why I'm probably going to give the whole thing a miss and just go for a long walk somewhere.
-
To be fair, my gut feeling is a big reason for the silence in our crowd in recent games is simply because they dont believe in this team. And who can blame them to be honest? It really doesnt bode well for Wembley because the days of NUFC fans making a racket in defiance of the odds are well and truly over.
-
A crowd that turned up merely to spectate. I'm almost glad we lost.

Season ticket holders should get no other perk other than being guaranteed the same seat for league games. The idea that they should also be prioritised for other games too is absolutely ridiculous. In the long term, club membership and the points you accumulate within it, should be the determining factor on your chances on getting tickets for matches. Do season ticket holders get a membership as part of their package? Cos I wouldn't even give them that.
-
What Facebook group is that? In defence of our fans there last night, hardly a single person on here expected nothing less than another Anfield surrender so it’s not really surprising that our support at the match might have felt the same.

There needs to be a confirmation, proposed stadium design and timeline - with a start date within the following 12 months - all announced before the beginning of next season. If we don’t get that then I will start to think we won’t get any kind of significant stadium development at all.
-
If all these things happen then my prediction is there won’t be any new stadium.
