  1. Crowd full of day trippers tonight. Utterly pathetic atmosphere for such an important match.
  2. Blatantly obvious now that the 3 points against us will be the ones that keep Everton up. And we really need a draw as an absolute minimum on Friday or the nerves will really start to jangle.

They will definitely beat Wigan because they seem to have their number. So we need Wigan to avoid the play-offs. If they meet Wigan in the final then they are going up.
  4. Their win over us will be the one that keeps Everton up. Sickening.

They will probably hide the other one too once one of their lurkers of this place reports it to the mods. In fact I wont be surprised if they delete them, just like they did the 5-1 match thread. Fucking cowards.

Ah, just noticed they have put it in the Parsnip section and you have to be a member to view that section. I've actually been a member on there for 23 years and in my formative internet years just posted endless pisstaking but it all got a bit boring after a year or so.

This was the follow up thread, by the way... https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc-august-2020-they-thought-they-were-the-richest-club-in-the-world.1524984/ The title alone tells you what their current outrage is all about.

Couldn’t agree more. I have never been a fan of it being called Shearer’s and actually preferred it being called Nine Bar. It was one of the few things that Ashley did that I agreed with. I don’t think a player or manager should be celebrated in any part of a stadium with renaming etc until they have passed away, to be honest.

I love that they are still in this state of denial. In truth, the last time they were joint biggest club was pre-Keegan in 1982. They've been in our shadow since August 1982 and have been trying to get out of it ever since.
  11. Rashford is barely worth half of that. He has already peaked and is not a world class player. I dont want him and would be properly mortified if we paid that for a player of his calibre.
  12. Wonder what this means for NUFC’s ability to do commercial deals?…
  13. Burnley have to beat Everton on April 6th now, to be fair. If they dont then they will start to look properly doomed. I hate wanting the Scouse Mackems to win a game but yesterday and tonight has made it that way.
  14. 40% chance of going down. We still look more likely to stay up but this week's results have put us back in the mix when we looked all but home and dry just a week ago.
  15. Back up to a 4 after that Leeds win. Rename the thread, we aint finishing top half.
  16. A quick look on their forum and they are treating it like it's their biggest game for decades. This would normally mean a guaranteed home win against the NUFC of the past. Please, please let the new NUFC reverse that trend. The first 20 mins of this game could well decide the outcome IMO. We need to be very sharp out of the blocks.
  17. Mainly because Chelsea was a free pass and not really that important. We are going into this one with some expectancy and its also against a relegation rival.
  18. Same here. I'd be ecstatic with a win here but it's surely going to be our biggest test so far this year. I really hope we aren't complacent tonight.

Ukraine has re-energised them as their spirit was definitely draining prior to that. Now the current events will allow for the same 10000 NUFC posts per month as in November and December.
  20. I guess you think Klopp's air punching to the Kop after each game is small-time too? Talk about a bloody joy-vacuum.

Apparently the video of Chris Wood walking into the dressing room to rapturous applause is "sportswashing". I wonder how far down the desperation rabbit hole these cunts can fall?
  22. I meant the Everton volley, the one that he believes is his best ever goal. He may have struck plenty of rockets but the Everton volley was pretty unique in it's precision and technique. I have never seen the quote by Cisse saying that he fluked it mind. Link? Anyway, none of this distracts from the fact that Bruno's goal was all about technique and not luck.
  23. Nah, I disagree. It was an outrageous strike and, just because it's not something you see very often, it doesn't make it lucky. The intent was there in a flash of his mind. Was Cisse's curler against Chelsea just lucky? Or what about Shearer's volley against Everton? Yeah both of those could have ended up in Row Z but they didn't, and the fact that the intention for those goals came to fruition doesn't mean they were just lucky. Bruno's goal would have been lucky if he had just stuck his boot out to make any kind of contact but that's not what happened. The intention was there to clearly see.
