I think it would be really harsh to give her the boot based on what has happened so far. Mistakes have been made, and I don't think she has been ruthless enough, but she has transformed the club's PR and that cannot be underestimated. She needs to put a rocket under everyone at the club now though, and that includes Howe because that result yesterday was completely unacceptable.

Relegation will be a disaster, but if it happens and it's enough to make PIF want to get shot of us then it would show that the "we are patient investors" stuff was just bluster and they just saw us as something to improve for a bit and then flip for a profit. I hope that isn't the case but there is that nagging feeling that if the worst happens then they might just look to move on. It would be so NUFC for it to happen too.

Yeah I'm up to a 9 after today. Only a glut of players bought this month saves us now. Howe has got to win next week, any thing less will be unacceptable.
-
Honeymoon over. That was completely unacceptable. I hate kneejerking but all of a sudden there is a question mark over his appointment.
-
Nope. This will be the kind of thing they cling to for comfort from now on though. Mo Salah signs for Madrid/Barca/Bayern in the next 12 months? ....... "hahaha, the Mags tried but Salah doesn't want to go anywhere near Newcastle!!!!" Absolute fucking doylems to a man.
-
Wanking themselves silly that Coutinho signed for Villa. Naturally, its assumed its because we tried to get him but he wasn't interested in coming here. These fuckers are totally gone in the head, it's great.
-
It's hilarious how they are the ones who are upset that we haven't brought Pep and Salah here already. The bitter, twisted cunts simply don't know how to react to all of this without giving away their fume for all the world to see and its funny as fuck.

Exile1968 is back on RTG tonight. First post after his ban? On the NUFC thread of course.
-
Hmm, dunno. I think they might actually find it easier to get promoted back to the PL than they have found it getting out of League 1. Once in the Champo they will become more attractive to higher profile managers and players. While in the 3rd Division though nobody of note will touch them with a bargepole.
-
Man Utd's support man. Absolute fucking tourists.
-
They will very likely go up this year, even if it's through the play offs. Mind, it would be hilarious if they blew it again.
-
His RTG ban expires at the end of the month so expect the NUFC thread to be back up to its 300 posts per day level.

Still an 8 for me. It's great that we are finally starting to look like a team but the bottom line is we are continuing to drop points from matches that should have been won. That's the classic sign of a team that gets relegated. We need to have players in the door next week. Staying up is truly in the hands of the owners now. We undoubtedly have the right manager but he needs the tools to keep us up, and he needs them pronto.
-
People got carried away when we appointed him last month, getting giddy after reading a few articles and watching some youtube videos. The excitement was very OTT, but now the doom and gloom from some quarters is also ridiculous. The truth is the guy is a good manager but, until proven otherwise, not top drawer as yet. If we go down then he will probably be the best bet to bring us back up....unless the second half of the season is a shocker.

I have two spare tickets, sitting together, for this in the Gallowgate if anyone is interested. At least there will be a guaranteed goal fest.
-
There will be a dirty big building on Strawberry Place literally across the road from where the current Gallowgate End is. Its a nonsense that the Gallowgate can feasably extended with that there. And even if it could, the nature of the structure would make SJP's stands look even more mismatched. No thanks, if Level 7 cannot be extended to the Gallowgate then its a new stadium on a new site.
-
Unless the current office block proposal gets scrapped, it isnt.
-
Oh well. I guess we are moving away from the current SJP site then.
-
If it could be proved that it could be moved, renovated and rebuilt further back as part of a completely redeveloped Leazes Park then I reckon planning approval could be given.

The point I was trying to make when I inadvertently derailed the other thread was that if Shearer is a legend then KK is something significantly higher. So let's say Keegan is a God. Personally I loved Andy Cole more than Shearer. Maybe that's because he was part of the club's journey from obscurity through to one of the biggest clubs in the country. And even though Shearer was hands down a better all-round player. I'm still not having Kevin Nolan as an icon though
-
Of course, I agree. Rafa coming here essentially secured the takeover and therefore he will always be a special person for us. But if he's a relegation rival for us then sentiment goes out of the window for me. And I cannot stand Everton so there's another reason I cannot want him to succeed there.
-
My thinking was that the toxicity could lead to Rafa getting the boot. I agree its very unlikely they get relegated with Benitez at the helm.
-
Probably right. I just want as many teams down there with us as possible and they have definiitely looked like being one. I maintain that their squad is average but, ironically, they have the perfect manager to get a tune out of it..i.f their fans just cut him some slack.
-
Icon definition : a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol or as worthy of veneration So Kevin Fucking Nolan comes under that bracket does he?
-
Its not a criticism mate. I'm merely pointing out that you had to really be there pre-1992 to know the difference that KK made to NUFC. He's on another planet compared to Shearer. And, to be fair, Shearer would probably say the same.
