  1. A quick look on their forum and they are treating it like it's their biggest game for decades. This would normally mean a guaranteed home win against the NUFC of the past. Please, please let the new NUFC reverse that trend. The first 20 mins of this game could well decide the outcome IMO. We need to be very sharp out of the blocks.
  2. Mainly because Chelsea was a free pass and not really that important. We are going into this one with some expectancy and its also against a relegation rival.
  3. Same here. I'd be ecstatic with a win here but it's surely going to be our biggest test so far this year. I really hope we aren't complacent tonight.

Ukraine has re-energised them as their spirit was definitely draining prior to that. Now the current events will allow for the same 10000 NUFC posts per month as in November and December.
  5. I guess you think Klopp's air punching to the Kop after each game is small-time too? Talk about a bloody joy-vacuum.

Apparently the video of Chris Wood walking into the dressing room to rapturous applause is "sportswashing". I wonder how far down the desperation rabbit hole these cunts can fall?
  7. I meant the Everton volley, the one that he believes is his best ever goal. He may have struck plenty of rockets but the Everton volley was pretty unique in it's precision and technique. I have never seen the quote by Cisse saying that he fluked it mind. Link? Anyway, none of this distracts from the fact that Bruno's goal was all about technique and not luck.
  8. Nah, I disagree. It was an outrageous strike and, just because it's not something you see very often, it doesn't make it lucky. The intent was there in a flash of his mind. Was Cisse's curler against Chelsea just lucky? Or what about Shearer's volley against Everton? Yeah both of those could have ended up in Row Z but they didn't, and the fact that the intention for those goals came to fruition doesn't mean they were just lucky. Bruno's goal would have been lucky if he had just stuck his boot out to make any kind of contact but that's not what happened. The intention was there to clearly see.
  9. There was nothing lucky about it whatsoever, he absolutely meant to score from it. If he had been forward facing and it was a regular volley would that have been lucky too?
  10. 54 days after the utter despondency of the 1-1 v Watford and the thread is effectively defunct. How on earth has this happened?
  11. Please rename this the Europeometer. 5 points of 9th place.
  12. What a fucking result. 5 points off 9th place.

  14. If anything, this will be an extra motivation for the Saudi's to increase their commitment to NUFC as it looks like one CL spot, that was previously locked in by a rival, is now up for grabs. Theoretically, all of this is perfectly poised for us to attempt a swoop on their place.
  15. For a start, a half empty stadium instantly affects the way TV companies look at NUFC as a club. They don't want to televise games in front of empty stadiums. That would just be the start of the snowball building momentum. The guy was incredibly thin skinned, and fans of LFC, MUFC and GRFC would have quickly cottoned on to that and had him gone within months, if he had done to their club what he did to NUFC.
  16. Exactly. Ashley was actually incredibly reactionary to a lack of backsides on seats. An empty SJP for a dozen games and he'd have been gone.
  17. Total bollocks. Its a line that was peddled by NUFC fans to justify their refusal to boycott so that they could have their day out...."it's his club, what can we do?" Absolute twaddle.
  18. Exactly right. The simple fact is that NUFC fans as a collective could not be arsed to boycott matches for the period of time sufficient to make Ashley quickly sell up. It wouldn't even have taken that many matches either. A dozen matches at the absolute most in front of an empty SJP and he would have been gone long before he actually departed. We as a fanbase also collectively petitioned to have the Saudis own us, and when it looked like they had pulled out we were completely heartbroken about it. Me being one of them. And I am now over the moon that they finally succeeded, with zero regrets, despite what is happening in Ukraine. One day they may be forced to bugger off due to politics but until that day arises I am going to enjoy this era on a gigantic level. The idea that fans cannot influence who owns their club is lazy, hand-wringing bullshit.

Love this. The lad is obviously living the dream, and playing it out in the exact way we all would.

He's such a fucking attention seeker...."look at my tweets lads, aren't I clever?". Fucking desperate, bitter prick with the mentality of a 12 year old. There's no way this fucker has a wife or girlfriend, and if he has then he's getting cuckolded left, right and centre.
  21. Down to a 3 now. 4 tough away games in a row to come means I'm still cautious.

I'd say Leazes Terrace should only be considered altering/moving if the East Stand side of the stadium was to be considerably increased in capacity. For example, extending Level 7 all the way around it and therefore increasing overall SJP capacity to around the 80k mark. Until then there's no point really discussing it. But I have no doubt that a more efficiently designed East Stand could replace the existing one, on roughly the same footprint, to give a pretty decent increase in capacity over the existing eyesore.
  23. I hope Amanda and Merhdad stick around indefinitely as I think they are great. And the more their prescence and comments wind up the southern-based journalists and rival fans the better it is. The whole concept of sportswashing is utter bullshit anyway, probably a slogan invented by a journalist trying to sound clever. These people do not give the slightest fuck about their image or what people think of their human rights record. With the oil slowly running out they simply want to own...or have their fingers in the pie of...as many Western assets as possible. It's all about securing their future economic power. That's it.

You want another tier above Level 7? Really? You already almost need binoculars at the top of L7. Anything higher than that and you'll need the James Webb Telescope.
