I thought straight away, in the first 5 minutes when his first touch led him out of play and the groans were heard, that he would have a poor game today. * held his hand up and Parker had to get back and challenge Francis * could have give a penalty away if he caught that Watford player in the second half when diving in

Hey, wasn't it Baba's assist which won us the game on Wednesday? I don't think it was racially motivated, it might have been because there are racist people, but i think its more to do with people don't like him. The press (local) make him out to absolute trash, yet i think he is a decent player and better than Ramage at left back. Ratings for Reading game from Chron: Babayaro 4 - mistake lead to Reading goal (hate figure) N'Zogbia 6 - still not hitting top form (fan favourite) Martins 5 - Still not happening for him (? don't understand this one)

Krul Taylor N'Zogbia They have the potential to become leading Prem stars. Other players like Carroll and O'Brien we haven't seen enough of in the Prem to say. Although Krul hasn't played in the Premiership yet.

I think you'll find that the charvs move to the top of the Gallowgate for the cup games. Otherwise, for Premiership games, the supporters are good i think. I sit in the Gallowgate, might be slightly biased, but you can't hear the "Ultras" from there. East stand.....nothing. Milburn....corporates. So out of the four stands, the Gallowgate and Leazes will create the most noise. I usually take up a new seat for cup games as i hate the fact that you see loads of charvers go to the back row and chant the same songs over and over. As for a new song or variation, maybe we could come up with one now?

Whats the point of the reserves, with an 18 game unbeaten run, if they can't make the leap into the first team?

Its the Carling Cup against Premiership opposition. Great way of giving reserve players the chance to impress and first team experience. Also, the "better" players may need a kick up the backside and the sight of being dropped may deliver that. Lua-Lua has been impressive at reserve level as well. The other players have been on the fringes of the first team all season as well and part of last.

No commitment from the non-Geordie players yesterday (and Milner). I think Given should have had the captaincy, although his position for barking orders isn't great. A Geordie captain would be better at fulfilling the role rather than a non-Geordie.
