    Nani

Then what is Nani famous for? Being linked to Spurs and Man U by the looks of it, if he wasn't I bet 90% of this forum would have never heard of the lad! Being likened to Cristiano Ronaldo. Football Manager. Theres a guy from French football called Jimmy Briand and is likened to Thierry Henry - that will probably bump his value up a bit.
  2. Aston Villa (H) Blackburn (a) Chelsea (H) Portsmouth (a) - good record against these sides recently and to get the long trek down to Portsmouth over early.

    Juventus

Least Newcastle have benefitted in a way.

    Hasselbaink

If a player signs a pre-contract at a club and the manager leaves what happens? We were linked with an unnamed French player in the Sunday Sun and Bolton agreed a deal with Gerald Cid last January, with BSA rating very highly and he is likely to take over as manager tomorrow. Does the pre-contract become void because the new manager might not want this player?
  5. Just seen Look North and it said that Pearson was trying to get the players to go an see the fans. Carr and Dyer walked straight past him and down the tunnel. I wonder if that is the last we see of both of them? It looked like after he asked them Dyer just shook his head. Dyer didn't bother to celebrate the goal yesterday and Carr....... Wouldn't surprise me if they were the ones who wanted a move away.
  6. Says Carroll is starting on SkySports. Also, Berbatov was on saying how he supported Newcastle because of Alan Shearer. N'Zogbia will leave in the summer - its unprofessional and highly disrespectful to other players.
  7. Watched the England vs France game, it finished 1:0 England and Victor Moses got the goal. Players who impressed: 18. Mamadou Sakho (PSG) - CB - Captain (leadership potential), drives out from defence with ball, in control of the defence (ushered them out and was constantly shouting), tight marker and has a powerful header at both ends of the field (wins most of them as well). 6. Omar Benzerga (Lille) - CM - driving force of the midfield and excellent through balls for the pacy attackers. 15. Henri Saivet (Bordeaux) - LM/ST - fast, skillful, good control and dribbling ability. 6. Jordan Spence (West Ham) - CB - Captain (leadership potential), excellent tackler and ability to read game (anticipation). 8. Danny Rose (Leeds) - LM - fast, agile, close dribbling, strong for size, intelligent play and decision making and can deliver a great cross. 2. Seth Ofori-Twumasi (Chelsea) - RB - strong, defends well (basics), but prone to giving away freekicks in dangerous areas. 10. Victor Moses (Crystal Palace) - ST - reminded me of Oba Martins, strong and links up play well.
  8. I like N'Zogbia, but he seems to have segregated himself a bit since Faye and Boumsong left and all the talk of a move to Arsenal. Whats this with Dyer is already gone?
  9. So much for the new scouting system and basically all of Roeders plans. I thought that the person with a book full of contacts etc was SBR and Shepherd was trying to persuade him to join. I would assume Pearson will take charge of the last game.
  10. Its all well and good saying get rid of him and buy him, but football is not as straight forward. The things that will probably happen this summer, at Newcastle, is: N. Solano and A. Sibierski sign new one year deals. A. O'Brien, K. Gate, O. Onyewu (back to Standard then to a European club), C. Moore (back to Australia or to Qatar), O.Bernard and P.Cave leave the club. S. Sidwell joins on July 1st on a free. T. Bramble joins Portsmouth on July 1st on a free. C. N'Zogbia leaves Newcastle, as does A. Luque to PSV on loan (already confirmed - Chronicle).
  11. He actually said that he thought Bramble days were numbered and that Dyer and him weren't booed off the field because of who they were. Mongcur is a f****** tit. The bloke still things Bramble might have a future here ffs. Newcastle old boys' union closing ranks for Roeder. Said Bramble's days were numbered
  12. Do you think its nailed on N'Zogbia will be leaving this summer? probably, unless Roeder resigns or is sacked soon. Those who were applauded during 'the lap': Given, Martins, Solano, Taylo, Butt and LUQUE by one bloke next to me. Dyer did walk around the pitch, Bramble didn't reappear after his substitution, Carr was straight down the tunnel.

    Players in public

Saw Alan O'Brien before the match in his Range Rover Vogue 'V2 AOB' near the Hancock Museum, 15 minutes before kick off. just seen Parker in his DB9 near the training ground.
  14. Just seen Parker along the coast road in his DB9, might be going in for treatment?
  15. Harper 5 - takes his time over everything! Solano 5 - looked poor in the air and passing was off Bramble 4 - looked like he was playing his last game for the club Gooch 4 - meh, he's leaving Carr 6 - a decent performance, but constantly passed backwards Dyer 4 - looks like he couldn't give two s***s and boo's were for him Moncur (Century said they weren't) Butt 6 - a decent performance Parker 5 - looked knackered, was he fit? Milner 7 - beat his man Martins 6 - a long ball from Harper was no good for him against Samba, rarely involved Owen 6 - a long ball from Harper was no good for him against Samba, rarely involved

  17. Another thing touched upon in the thread. Why put Onyewu on the bench? when he is going to leave after being deemed not good enough (according to the Journal). Why play Bramble? He will definately be leaving after that performance. Why not give youngsters, like Edgar, a chance to show what they can do and "earn" a contract? I can see us finishing on 43 points this season after a loss to Blackburn and draw at Watford.
  18. Harper 6 - not much to do Solano 6 - defended nervously, could have given away penalties, passing was better. Taylor 7 - best defender at club, just a shame he has to partner Bramble Bramble 4 - should not get a new contract, back passing to Harper was awful, composure is awful Carr 6 - decent at left back, but we definately need a new LB. Milner 7 - best player, tried and set pieces were generally good. Dyer 5 - gave the ball away needlessly, did nothing, consider selling Emre 6 - did ok (N'Zogbia 5) - completely lacked any effort Sibierski 6 - linked play well as AMC (Ameobi 6) - looked rusty Martins 6 - long ball to Martins will never work and this leads to frustration for him Owen 6 - wasn't expecting him to play all of the game, looked good in the first half, died down in the second Roeder 5 - put Martins on the right to accomodate Ameobi, looked disinterested (clueless) when the camera was on him and Pearson. Dyer and N'Zogbia - I would consider any bids at the minute for these two.

    Players in public

Saw Michael Owen driving past the Falcons Nest, Marriott area at about 9am this morning.
  20. Who was Middlesbrough best player? Mendieta? How did N'Zogbia do?
  21. http://mastertwg.sbs.com.au/epl/index.php?pid=st&cid=78988 This has some quotes from Roeder on N'Zogbia
  22. Typical of today! > "You Suck" is not that offensive. There is a wrestling fan who sits behind me who would shout it as well As for songs for the players to come out to, i dont know, maybe Song 2 - Blur?
  23. Glenn Reay, Rob Cavener, Ross Cowan, Dean Critchlow, Lewis Marr and Callum Little have all been released.
