    Alan Smith

Yeps. I think the team is a bit messy at the moment but it'll calm down eventually, then we'll see more from our players imo. Smith is definately a support striker though, never a midfielder, as he showed against arsenal - which he was our best player that day.
  2. I found it so frustrating today when our players lost their footing at key times JESUS! we could've scored a few from those but Milner and Oba slipped when shooting....what if, oh well
  3. Well you can't pin too much blame on a striker out of position. I think the main problem is still Left Back, is Enrique injured or just sorting himself out? Once hes fit and has a long run of games then we could all relax a little more: Enrique in means Zog put to LM Zog in LM means balanced wings with James on RM James in RM means Oba (or another striker) on the bench Get back ASAP Enrique!
  4. I just think its so frustrating when the ball is being knocked about with hoofs and head tennis...........we play so much better when we stick it on the floor although they did have 6 men in defence so at times it seemed the only option, thats why we played much better when Emre came on
  5. ok I misread but surely some people may take note
  6. I think you are being a kneejerk because we're not exactly staring relegation in the face are we? Yes we should have won today and Yes our performance was below par but we all knew this season we'd most likely have a lot of spikes in terms of results. When Sam was brought in we knew after the mess Roeder et al all left behind that things would take time. I remember most people saying that this season would be a solidifying one, a time where we regroup and work on where we've gone wrong. Theres nothing to worry about right now and of course you're entitled to complain after matches, I love to whinge every now and then but to call for the managers head is about as knee jerk as it gets. Wake up and realise that sacking managers has got us nowhere and even takes us backwards. Just grow some balls and stick it out for a season then make your decision. We've changed evertything to do with NUFC this season except the fucking impatient fans which unfortunately seem likely to plague the club for a long time yet.
  7. Changed the game when they came on today I thought, so I'd love to see them in the side in place of Rozenhal and Butt/Barton We desperately need Enrique back at LB too, still not convinced with Zog plugging that gap even though hes had some good games there Opinions?

  9. I think Derby played very, very well I'm disappointed with the performance and the lack of a clean sheet but I'm not that bothered
  10. lol steady on, jesus christ more to xmas then this match tbh
  11. He dived there, good decision ref god my stream is behind like, haha
  12. All the doom mongers and knee jerkers are out in force on the forum now.......weird how they turn up only when things go a bit dodgy
  13. Not too bothered about their goal as it was a nice finish but overall we've done fine against an ugly Derby side. Only thing I've been quite disappointed with is our set pieces, Zog has failed to deliver on a number of occasions. I can see Emre coming on for Barton on 70 minutes to tidy up the midfield a bit, which has been pretty messy at times. Oba has done well on the wing but people shouldn't expect miracles from a striker playing out of position. Playing Viduka in amongst their defenders is a good idea as he only needs half a chance to show his skill and score. COME ON THE TOON!
  14. official starting lineup: given beye roz cacapa zog oba butt barton milner smith viduka COME ON THE TOON!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap2: :clap2:
