Exactly. Plus if Mike did something like that he'd have a horde of 100,000 Toon fans baying for his blood. Put the plastic case back over the panic button and step away.

This is my thread and you're all going to act civil. No fucking quote threads on what poster said 2 months ago whilst pissed The aim is to get people's current feelings. Use other threads to argue endlessly in. In this thread I'm also banning the use of this smiley: mackems.gif by NE5, until further notice.

We can't and we won't! Say it with me...........YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN, YES WE CAN!! http://www.collegecandy.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/barack__obama.jpg

Personally, I think it all hinges on this match against Birmingham a week on Monday.... We will have some time to 'rest and regroup' as they say but we can't afford to piss around anymore. We've had a run of games against the top teams in quick succession and whilst we never expected much out of them, I'm sure we thought we'd get at least a draw or even a win at some point. I've been really excited about next season until recently. The promise of large funds and general investment is fantastic but since our situation has turned bleaker than ever, that all goes out the window. My current feeling: Terrified (but I still feel we'll pull off some unexpected 3 pointers) http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/2477/29759225cc0.png

oh for fucks sake. EVERY fucking DAY. I read the first page and thought to myself: "Now that Shepard and the Halls have been brought up on page 1, I wonder if there'll be an epic quote tree mainly involving NE5, Mick and possibly another couple....plus this smiley mackems.gif " *clicks page 10* "Well whadda ya know!"

I reckon it'll be 2-1 loss tomorrow but I'd be ecstatic with any kind of draw, that can be our only realistic aim.

super whoosh, heh. He's another body in the squad which is good as theres bound to be some dodgy injuries happening soon to our defenders. Its only til the end of the season too, now he just needs a week or 2 to build his fitness up. Having played before with faye, beye and cacapa too can only be a good thing.

from .com Diatta deal "dead" The mooted signing of Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta looks to have been dumped at the 11th hour, due to a failure to agree terms with the player. 32 year-old Diatta is a free agent and had been training with Newcastle squad for the last week, going as far as undergoing a medical with the club. Assuming no compromise is reached, it's feasible that we could yet face the player in the Premier league before the end of the season, with both Birmingham and Wigan credited with interest in signing him.

Not sure but I think its close, this is from .com The signing of Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta (pictured) has moved a step nearer with news that he's undergoing a medical at SJP. 32 year-old Diatta is a free agent and has been training with the Newcastle squad for the last week. He made one appearance at the recent African Nations Cup Finals alongside Habib Beye and Abdoulaye Faye. However, he was reported to have announced his international retirement after Senegal failed to qualify for the later stages of the event. The defender began his professional career with Toulouse before moving on to Stade Rennais via a brief spell at Marseille. 2004 saw him join Lyon, where he played alongside Claudio Cacapa, winning two French league titles.

I pray for a draw. Thats all I ask for. Long shot at the moment but a draw is the best we can do against a team far stronger than us atm. H'way lads!

Well said mate. We really need to stick together now. Exactly. We all know whats right and wrong with the squad so why don't we just give them our full support rather than whinging about it 24/7. We know that next season will be totally different to this one. We've got some winnable/drawable games ahead, lets solidify rather than whine.

Ah well, time to employ some fresh coach in now, I'm not bothered at all - cheers nigel, catch ya later http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3122513,00.html Nigel Pearson has left Newcastle United, according to Sky Sports News. The 44-year-old coach was brought to St James' by former Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder in October 2006. Pearson had two spells as caretaker manager with The Magpies - in May 2007 following Roeder's departure, and last month after Sam Allardyce's exit. But reports suggest that he has now made the decision to part company with The Magpies.
