  1. I would, but I'm strangely compelled... He has spooooooky powers...
  2. FFS, Vic, it's pretty much standard business practice anywhere in the world. If a boss brings someone in, teaches them just how he likes everything done, and then eventually leaves the company for somewhere new, they'll try to bring their favorites to their new job with them. It happens everywhere, in every industry. People you've worked with before are more likely to want to work with you again. That's exactly why they say that "it's not what you know, it's who you know." Bolton could try and fight it, but chances are Allardyce's people would rather come here and keep working with him then stay at Bolton without him, which is probably why Bolton has said OK to the talks. And why the hell would you want him to waste time conducting countless interviews when he already knows someone who's suited for the job and that he knows he can work with, when there's so much that has to get done over the summer regarding the shape of the club? If he can land one qualified staffer for a position he wants without conducting a drawn-out interview process, it leaves more time to address other problem areas.
  3. In general, surveys are only as accurate as their methodology. Without knowing where their answers came from, whether it was weighted to accurately reflect age and population distribution, etc, it's hard to tell. Plus, remember that these surveys are only made up of the people who actually bothered to take time and answer a long, boring string of neverending survey questions, so... make of that what you will.
  4. Proves it, then! Lazy ungrateful bastard Parker, doesn't care enough for the shirt to spend his holiday sitting at home talking to the press. Get rid!
  5. Wow, I really have 245 posts? Not that it's all that impressive compared to some...
  6. Overcompensating. Just look at Roeder's little girly arms.
  7. None at all, but it's not exactly a short commute from Miami...
  8. After the US team's world-beating performance in Germany, I doubt anyone can deny that Arena would be the ideal choice to lead us forward to glory and fame. We can only hope that he'd be willing to lower himself to managing a Premier League team. After all, once you've coached the US National Team AND the NY Red Bulls, where else can you go but down?
  9. Think of the children! Why won't anyone think of the children?!? http://www.b12partners.net/mt/images/HelenLovejoy.jpg
  10. Did you bring enough to share with the rest of the forum, Parky?
  11. Mackems, Birmingham, and...?
  12. Why, that's almost half! Outstanding! Fortress St. James!!!
  13. Wouldn't that be "thousands," then? I swear, reporters these days... [/pedantic]
  14. Sure looks like. Maybe Freddy warned him that today was his last chance?
  15. God, I hope so... If we lose to Watford, I really can't see how he could stay. Which probably means he will.
  16. Taylor's dead leg. And lack of Sibierski, the core and heart of our team.
  17. In protest of that unbelievable shower of shit, I am replying entirely with smilies. First-half diagnosis? :angry4: Second-half diagnosis? :angry5: Full-time diagnosis? Star man for United? Worst United player? :censored: Opposition comment? Toon-pros? Toon-cons? Post-match feelings? :violent4: We really need a smilie blowing his cheerful little smilie brains out all over the screen.
  18. Get offline again. You'll be happier.
  19. Bring on Watford!!! Let's finish this bloody wreckage of a season already.
  20. Oh, God... Ramage??? Edit: Not that Gooch or Bramble are doing any better...
  21. And Wigan, back at the beginning of the season when Roeder hadn't yet fully crushed all optimism and hope.
  22. Now time for Roeder's traditional demoralizing halftime talk, followed by an early concession in the 2nd half.
  23. Jesus christ thats insane....maybe they CAN do it.... Bring on the lawsuit by the other bottom 6. Forget the lawsuit. I think the chairmen should just fight it out. Get them all out on the pitch at Wembley, last man standing. Tables, ladders, and chairs match.
