  1. And you know that is naturally going to morph into “shoot your load right on me.” playing with fire there
  2. My pedantic self can’t help but to point out that The Weight was written by Robbie Robertson and that The Band hadn’t backed Dylan for years at that point. I am terrible.
  3. Some really bizarre suppositions about the club’s strategy from some here. But what’s new?
  4. Except Brazil got a lot of static for nearly two decades for being defensive and not playing the Brazilian way. Would like to hear Flip's take on this.
  5. The '94 and 02' Brazilian teams hardly had a poor defense.
  6. Lost in all this is was the beautiful Harold and Maude romance between your mom and our Harrison.
  7. Many apologies. I just struggled to let a few comments go.
  8. This is honestly not a well thought out take at all, just as vegans trying to guilt people into absolute veganism is generally not well thought out either. Looking just on species level conveniently ignores the massive suffering of the individual animals. Industrial farming practices are unbelievably cruel, and are some of the worst examples of the destructive capacity of humanity. Just hang out near a pig slaughterhouse for an hour and come back to me about how it benefits their species. this conversation has been derailed enough, but I will just say that maybe vegans would be better served by arguing that reducing meat intake by a third would go some way to finding a middle ground that would not get rid of farming altogether, but would impose better conditions for the animals to reduce suffering. And maybe the other side would be better served to see the horrors of industrial farming as it is firsthand, not to mention become aware of the great disease spillover risks it poses, and the environmental problems it can cause (especially in places like California).
  9. We all suffer from weird cognitive dissonances, where we can compartmentalize ethics in one area that totally contradict ethics in the other. Vegans and omnivores alike suffer from these evolutionary quirks. Would be a good thing to keep that in mind.
  10. Yep. Anecdotes prove that veganism is evil.
  11. Rationally, I'd wager that paedos were generally more comfortable in the presence of those with the total lack of empathy involved in industrialized farming. But humans are anything but rational.
  12. From a dude with a chained tiger to cheekily railing against the evil monolith of veganism somehow seems like a natural progression
  13. Not nearly as dangerous as the demands of fucking tourists
  14. Most people don’t have a decent handle on life at 50, nearly all of us here included.
  15. American commentators explaining the laws of the game to American fans in a World Cup match between Poland and South Korea at 2:30am for one.
  16. This turnaround gets more and more wonderfully absurd.
  17. Can’t stand these new tendencies to have the subject looking off to third that’s closest. New doc filmmakers seem to think that it’s edgy, but it just unbalances the shot. I can just about tolerate the subject being in the middle for wide shots, but this video was just irritating as hell, because of where Shearer was looking off to.
  18. Agreed, but I would like to point out that Miami is an absolute shit hole whose only decent characteristic is that it is close enough to sea level to disappear into the Atlantic in a few years.
  19. It's usually Luke Edwards getting off on rubbishing links.
  20. Fucking brilliant album. Highway Star coming on in a traffic jam is a solid definition of hell.
  21. Imagine Eddie Howe working with this guy.
  22. Yeah, parts of areas like Battersea still look exactly the same as an early 80's Madness video. I find parts of London so grim.
