Seems to me that you are on a bit of a rant and rave right now. He's not wrong though, QM. Bruce could have a cup of tea and there'd be 7 pages of vitriol saying he should have had a coffee. It's just way over the top. I think it would be if it was taken in isolation. Given how everything transpires this summer, I am not so sure that it is over the top.

How can something be predictable when it doesn't precede anything though? After 18 games if the same mistakes that cost us today are happening, then yes, predictable, but after the first game? I'm not sure that makes much sense. Fwiw there was some promising signs in the first half today in our play and a few players in particular caught the eye. I'll choose to not plummet into abject misery just yet. You're far too sensible. You're completely wasting your time though. They've been waiting all summer for something to go crazy over. Even though they all claim not to care anymore. You can be such an idiot at times. This is the most relaxed a fair few of us probably have been about a season. I just find it quite bizarre that some people treat this as some sort of clean slate every season with the "let's just see what happens" mentality. Ashley has steered this club from one catastrophe to the next. Losing Benitez was one such catastrophe, and he just compounded tenfold it by appointing Bruce. Their records speak for themselves. Pretending today's game was the worst we've ever seen and it proves all the players signed are terrible is so ridiculous, and going on and on about it in the match thread is tedious and stupid. It is immature and childish and it s completely ruining the forum. You do not have to do that all the damned time to prove you no longer support the club. If you cannot understand that. You sir, are the idiot. I never said it's the worse we have ever seen, so I am not sure how I could pretend that it is. I never made any comment about the players. In fact, I didn't comment at all in the match thread during the game. You are clearly confusing me with confused, or just a little butt hurt for being called out as a hypocrite. I was speaking generally, genius, and have been the whole time. You are the one that interjected yourself into the conversation, and are now claiming I am addressing you specifically. Go away. Then don't directly quote me. You could have chosen 15 posts to quote around mine. Jesus, man. In your attempt to WUM, the handle has somehow flown off you.

And the game has changed since he was stinking it up then. I feel no abject misery with this loss. In fact, I'll be quite happy if this dogshit club goes down. It's no longer Newcastle but a twisted doppelganger, as far as I'm concerned. In Steve Bruce parlance, I feel quietly confident about this season.

Can't believe some have tried to throw this man under the bus. Imagine the excitement this season had Rafa stayed and was allowed to spend on his signs Saw this section of his blog posted by a Newcastle fans Facebook page. First comment: "This the bloke who left us purely for a 150% pay rise?" Fuck sake. Wouldn't be surprised if Ashley is employing a troll farm on this.

There have always been loads of dipshits. With social media, the echo chamber gets magnified, and the dipshittery runs rampant with the validation of other dipshits. -
Fucking ingrates, the lot of you. He's been singlehandedly protecting us from a raging horde of straw men. Show some fucking respect.

Unfortunately I think mike is right on this one. You sir, are a rectangle. Rafa made too many demands (same as at previous clubs) he wanted to go to China & signed a pre contract agreement he also applied for the Leicester job. Go form an opinion, research both sides of the argument or failing that just fuck off. Actually, 2nd shot here. Fuck off, I mean that, you’re on the wrong place here. This place is full of people who have done so much for this club. People who started the flags, the singing corners etc, all of them on here. People who started Ashley Out, the Magpie group, all on here. People who have took up their own time to look into how Ashley conducts his businesses and how it effects NUFC, on here. People who have tried to ask him questions, even buying shares in his companies to do so, on here. People who have put their hands in their pockets to start protests against him, on here. People who have put their faces to protests and risked pesky legal action designed to intimidate them into submission, on here. People who have got into contact with business contacts in order to make attempts to buy the club, on here. These people are on here, and they have done more to support this club than those who just accept what Ashley says, buying season tickets and merchandise blindly. If you want to do that, Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit are readily available, but don’t come here and start spitting the shit you have licked off Ashley’s arse to us. Excellent post, Stif. Well...fucking...said! Research both sides. FFS man. Water your crops with electrolytes and shit.

or perhaps some special needs kid tried to mold a Viking out of playdough, and ended up with Steve Bruce.

Battered spouses often rationalize the reasoning behind why they were battered

See what you're saying, man, but I am now actively wishing that it backfires spectacularly. No indifference, but a sincere hope that Steve Bruce immediately steers this cancer-ridden club into the Championship. At this point, there is likely no other way to get rid of him without taking the club into the abyss of the lower leagues, and staying there for awhile.

We are all getting amped about a theoretical points deduction. This is going to confuse the shit out of mackems.

This is a very good post. Well said, College Dropout. It's so confounding how many people are caught in Groundhog Day. Ashley displays a growing combination of contempt, disrespect, and anti-ambition that spits in the face of sporting competition, but every season, a horde of angry supporters reset to 0. If the Rafa debacle isn't the last straw, then jesus, there is absolutely no help for them.

Let's not go down the X-Files rabbit hole yet. It could well be that he's just be a bit of a dipshit.

Look at the insults I've taken for having the absolute temerity to go to football games, football games played by my football club Nobody is insulting you for going to the game, that's 100% your choice. You're getting insults because you're unable to grasp the importance of not going. Because I have a different opinion to you regarding what will not going do? I've listened to what's been said regarding the importance of not going, but just because you've said it, it doesn't mean it's true? We have completely different views on the best way to help the club, that's fine. It's all about opinions, there's a hell of a lot off people out there who disagree with you. And they are being as utterly obtuse as you then. You have come up with no viable alternative solution. Fairly obvious why people see you as part.of the problem. And just because there are more like you doesn't validate your opinion against what should be blatantly obvious to anyone at this point. This is not fresh. We are fucking 12 years into this regime, and have seen a cycle play out. Absolutely no excuse at this point if you are still fine with getting dry-fisted up the starfish.

Calling someone selfish for going to a football match is absolutely pathetic Not pathetic in the slightest. People are trying to organise a boycott for the Arsenal game and people can’t even get behind that for one game. That is pretty selfish don’t you think? As in YOU won’t boycott one game because YOU want to go to the game. People always have to make hard choices, not being prepared to test it for one game seems incredibly selfish. So its just for one game is it? What the fucks that going to do like? we boycott one game and Ashley sells the club suddenly? Nah You do realise you boycotting will propably create a negative impact on the team against Arsenal don't you? If anything that's selfish.... I didn't think you could regress to an even stupider level. Impressive.

He put the prices up because he knows he can, yes. Because he knows fans will pay it. Having said that the ticket revenue is a drop in the ocean though when it comes to our revenue, do people think that if we just boycott every game he's going to sell the club? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Not sure how people can go that long without going to a game but there you go What are you going for though? What are you supporting? Please don’t say ‘the team’. We are not a competitive sporting institution under Ashley. We aim for no more than survival and are actively prevented by Ashley from having any ambition beyond that. I know what this club can be. I was there during Keegan and Sir Bobby and we are not that club any more. Due to Ashley. Stop enabling him ffs So because we aren't a 'competitve sporting intuition' that means stop going to games? Basically you're saying because we're s*** and haven't got a good team unlike when Keegan and Robson was here you're not going to games anymore? Our aim is survival yes, so is half the league. You're sounding completely duluded and entitled to be honest. You'll only turn up if we've got a good team, that's not what's supporting a club is about Howay Seymour man. Until that last quote i've admired your bravery in defending the minority view (on here anyway) but that last sentence? As i said before there's more to it than just being s***. If we try but fail then fair enough, but there is no trying. I haven't said it to anyone else, but read his post man. It sounds like the reason he went to games was because we had a good team under KK and Robson, and now because we're s**** and fighting relegation who won't go anymore. I understand what you mean, we have the capabilities to be so much more under Ashley. Under Westwood, Mckeag etc we never really had the major, major money that Ashley has You absolute muppet. I’d go and watch us under any regime and in any league we were in as long as we were trying to compete. Don’t ever put words into my mouth again you utter clown. if you say so So in order to watch the club you support, we have to 'compete'? Why can't you just support your football club? Surely you support your football club because that's your football club not because it's 'competing' or not You're not arsed that the team you care so dearly about is actively and overtly trying to avoid being successful? . Ofcourse I am, I want the club to be successful obviously. But me supporting the club isn't dependant on where we finish or not. You are obtusely confusing being successful with trying to compete. You know it, and yet you are proudly going down that path and looking like even more of a fool.
-
Its just my belief man that's all, Ashley is stubborn as fuck, anyone who has met him would say so. He doesn't like being told what to do. Fans do have power with certain things, I just don't personally think we have the power realistically to get rid of him. What we need is someone to give him an offer that he couldnt resist and at the price he wants that's unrealistic Going round and round in circles here anyway. We have different opinions, that's fine by me ? If that is the case, then the logical decision would be to walk away.

At the fundamental core of sport is competing. This thinking is one of the most apt examples of the Sunk Cost Fallacy.

Painting the ground as we speak actually ? Still s**** , You'll never know man, nee f***er goes to games on here A lot of us used to but most have seen the light. Took me longer than most but no more money for Mike Ashley's companies work team. It's the only way. Aye. Carry on going though Seymour. Get yourself an SD flag while your at it, that way his tatty business can get an extra layer of exposure along with a full stadium. Sorry for going to watch the football club I support I'll be supporting the 11 players on the pitch and the manager in the dugout, like I've always done. Good ownership or bad ownership won't change that. I'll not be supporting SD or Mike Ashley and I refuse to believe that just because you're supporting the team that means you're supporting the ownership. No X-hamster tab? I was at least wise enough to close that one.
