When is the pre-season training about to start? Can't wait for the new season now.

I am sure, i heard something on ssn a year or 2 ago that30 % of players in England are English 40 % of players in Germany are German 60% ofplayers in spain are Spanish and 70 % of players in Italy are Italian. Just checked how many foreigners are in those respective leagues: (from transfermarkt.de) Bundesliga: 49,0 % Premier League: 64,5 % Seria A: 43,3 % La Liga: 35,1 %

I'd take Klinsmann over Shearer every day as a manager of a national side. Not too sure about managing a club - as they both seem to be shit at doing it.
-
Of course. (seriously)

This. Germany could still play with the likes of Frings, Lehmann, Metzelder and so on. But Löw decided to not call them up again. Capello (or whoever) should do the same with Lampard, Gerrard, Heskey, James, Terry, Ferdi... There should be some younger players combined with lesser expectation from the media/fans. Same like this time in Germany.

Ah, ok Robster would fuck me up if I could have been capping stuff all this time and wasn't. And he wouldn't be the only one, I suppose

Injuries really have been a problem as well, right. Rio, J.Cole, a top fit Rooney. But for me, the biggest miss was Beckham. The endless free-kicks Lampard shot into the wall... the corners that came to nothing. The two goals (that counted) have both been coming from crosses from the right. Shows that Beckham was missed imo.

You're watching RTL?

Or Joe Kinnear. Remember, he did well for a period of time. And he (as Owen and Butt used to say) steadyed the ship, really.
-
No doubt about that. But he did only so well with Germany because he had Löw as his assistant for the tactics. He failed badly at Bayern Munich without him - he only had some american and mexican couches alongside him. He needs a man for the tactics behind him or he'll fail. Thats where Chrissy 'Houghton' Hughton comes in. Forgot about him actually. If there's Hughton, no Klinsmann is needed anymore.

Depends on who would follow imo. I think Klinsmann (some on here mentioned him before) would be a good idea considering what he did in those 2 years for Germany. He did change the whole structure of the team and coaching staff which was very good in the end. He is one of the reasons why the likes of Özil, Khedira or Boateng are playing for Germany at this world cup. Still not too sure if he could do the same good work at England. For me, England should only go out to get a new manager if Mourinho would be ready to do this job as for me he's the only one who probably could win something with England. He, of course isn't because he's at Madrid now, so keep Capello because in general he's a great manager and showed this in previous times more than once.
-
Defending on all those goals was pretty awfull imo.
-
Yeah, but we're getting a "jumbo screen." Jumbo? A screen which is showing elephants?
-
It begins Yep, that does it for me. That has nothing to do with transfers btw He wants to give Barton a bit of extra confidence. I don't think that's a bad thing and I also suppose that every manager in every team would do that.
-
I've actually voted for final Well, I thought England would play like in the qualifying matches. Wasn't the case, sadly.
-
Yeah, it would be just another crazy gang.
-
I think Nolan might be one of them. Ronaldo has ended his career, hasn't he? Would definitely be in that fat XI.

Far too convenient an excuse. imo, he never fully recovered from that injury that he got playing for man u. (against munich iirc ) Fergie to blame. Not Fergie actually. It was Mario Gomez who injured him in that 90th minuted at the Allianz Arena. Considering that this maybe put Bayern through to the next round and now gave Germany a poor Rooney to play against shows why Gomez is worth 30 MIO. Don't think he should have been brought back to play in the 2nd leg. I think Fergie was getting desparate. Wasn't convinced of his efforts to convince the media that he was ready at the time. Just typical fergie bullshitting, that was. Yes, I know that. What I meant was that there would have been no Rooney injury at all without Gomez.

I agree with both tbh. Germany struggled with Zigic of Serbia, the same would have happend if Crouch would have been on. Beckham was missed in every of those 4 games, I've said that earlier as well.
-
Hopefully he gets fucked by Maicon. They're playing Spain.
-
The same about Terry and Gerrard imo. England should bring in some young players like Germany does.
-
Was there no German in? Strange, they're all Adidas.
