  1. Think that as well. It wasn't a bad performance, it was very much down to bad luck as well. Let's be honest - Germany always has great luck at those big tournaments. Will wait and see till Maradona and Messia are facing them.
  2. Thought the thing about Capello as well tbh. But now I think that England won't win anything - till probably there will be Mourinho in charge.
  3. Probably (not). But let's wait and see, but I honestly think that players like Guthrie, Routledge, Carroll or even a fully-fit and in form Barton and probably Nolan would have done a better job than the team that was out today.
  4. Actually not. Bayern, Cologne and Bremen who basically contribute everything to the offensive system (Müller, Klose, Schweinsteiger, Podolski, Özil) play different systems. Bayern: 4-4-2 Cologne play very very defensive football, sometimes with Podolski as their lone striker. Bremen play with two strikers. So with the 4-2-3-1 system - I can't about any "top" club of the Bundesliga who plays with it tbh.
  5. I said all the time Parker should have gone to the world cup. I can't understand and will never understand how Capello could play Barry, who was only half-fit, in favour of a Scott Parker who basically kept up West Ham on his own.
  6. Hattrick against us tbh. Hope not, but it really really could be. He'll be really fit again after a long break.
  7. Thought Muller was their star player personally with Ozil a close second. Muller's off the ball movement was superb. He carved England open time after time down the right (albeit in the absence of an English left midfielder). Müller was man of the match for me as well. Still can't beliefe that the 2-2 wasn't given btw.
  8. I absolutely can't beliefe how fucking shit the standard of the referees is at this world cup How can't the linesman see that?? It was clearly, absolutely clearly behind the line. That goal would have changed the game completely. Doesn't matter that Germany were the better team - if it's 2 - 2 at half time, it's a different game.
  9. "England legend" Off watching this now, good luck England
  10. Wil be watching this with a few mates who are all German supporters. I will be wearing my England shirt. Hope they won't be too angry with me after an England win.
  11. Isn't well-earned arrogance just confidence? Start Heskey, get him to lumber around midfield and fall into Ozil, meaning Germany's best player is off but tragically, Heskey will pick up an injury in the process. Heskey off, Defoe on, and we win 4-0. If Özil's injured Germany have Marin to bring on who is nearly the same player.
  12. They did the same before the Champions Leauge final against Inter. Hate that - but it's a good sign - Bayern had no chance against Inter, probably Germany won't have a chance against England today, too.
  13. Or a 1-0 win with a goal in the 123rd minute when every one thinks it's going to penalties. Like Italy vs Germany in 2006...
  14. Word on the street is that Hughton is at the world cup watching Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney. He already has admitted that he's phoned Guardiola, Mourinho and Fergie and that he had asked them about the respective players if we could have them for free or in a exchange deals with Smith/Nolan/Butt (who we have resigned btw in that time you didn't spend any attention). Btw the reason why Hughton wants to sign them is (obviously) because they are a good group of lads. No, seriously: We are up for sale again, Hughton has resigned and Butt is our new manager.
  15. Can't see Ghana getting anything today tbh. They have scored 2 goals so far - 2 penalties. They are awfull in front of the goal and aren't that good in defence either. USA on the other hand have a great teamspirit. I see them winning today.
  16. I don't think anyone has to, this is the last game its being used for. It said before they wanted all stadiums to hosts a last 16 game, so i'm guessing this one can be dropped next round. Pretty sure he said a QF and the 3rd place play off would be played on that pitch. That's the case.
  17. I thought you were going to say former Newcastle & 1860 Munich player Joe Kendrick. He's just not on Xisco's level. Well, nobody is.
  18. Btw we all should issue all our best wishes to the Newcastle legend who celebrates his birthday today: Xisco.
  19. As I've posted before, Schweinsteiger seems to be fit in time for Sunday. And as I've posted before as well, Cacau is a loss for them as he's a good impact striker and if he's out they would have Gomez to bring on who is really shit.
  20. Probably Coyle was drunk, or one of them is lying.
  21. Both Schweinsteiger and Boateng will take part in the final training session and will do a late fitness test. Seems like at least Schweinsteiger will be playing.
  22. No. I guess Klose would have played anyway. But Cacau is a good impact striker - and without him they would have to bring on Gomez in case they need another striker. And Gomez is shit.
  23. Well, I really don't know if Uzil will make it. But if you're thinking of Özil, yes, he'll play. He seems to not have any injury problems. And yes, Klose IS back from suspension.
  24. FWIW we're the bookies favourites - very marginally like, but still. more a financial position than a judgement one i guess. i wonder if german domestic bookies have us as favourites (if there are german domestic bookies) ? You're right. Oddset (the only german bookmaker) has Germany as favourites to win this. What are the odds out of interest David? Win Germany: 2,25 Win England: 2,60 Draw: 2,70 Poor odds as usuall - that's why not many are betting at oddset and are instead betting (like me) at some online bookie.
