Any suggestions how long arbitration might last?

Around that period they were both playing with gaping holes in their games iirc, Darlow was decent stopping shots and could do nothing else consistently while Elliot was ok all round but couldn't get down to anything at all was thus shit at stopping shots. -
In fairness that sounds like peak Ashley

Perhaps you should try and cast your mind back to when Dubs came in and what it was like to actually have a competent keeper again after watching Elliot & Darlow between the sticks. It was an absolute revelation and he raised the bar the moment he walked into the club, that you know take that level of quality for granted is laughable. -
Ahhhhhhhh gotcha

Sorry but what's this in reference to exactly, Atkinson is supposed to have humiliated the copper and he lost the plot?

Y aren't Spurs into Rafa? Fucking idiots.
-
At Spurs? He'd have to hit the ground running imo, their expectations are totally out of whack with their status and they'd turn on him in a heartbeat as soon as things start looking dodgy
-
Everyone knew that Spurs run was the last gasp man, they'd been on a downward trajectory and that was the anomaly. My mates a Spurs ST hold, he knows it as well. They were shite but pulled bonkers results out, and had the odd VAR call to help them along of course. And that's why I said that old Mou thing no?
-
I can see your logic, and maybe Poch & Mou just weren't the ones to get enough out of these hidden gems in the spurs squad. He does have that old Mou thing of galvanising players into overperforming mind.
-
You've only managed to name 11 players out of this "really good squad" there and half of them are highly questionable imo, Spurs squad is fucking awful.

I actually have a degree of understanding there tbh, can see the appeal to get into the club and feel like they were involved in something tangible. Clubs obviously keep fans at quite an arms length generally. Shame it was obvious to absolutely everyone they were absolute chancers but I don't blame them for going along with that particular event myself.

tbf he was hardly a manager swimming in silverware before the move the wolves unless i'm mistaken? he did a great job there mind, take nothing away from him, but it's not like he was/is a top tier manager

Doesn't have to be though, look at Liverpool's as an example. They trimmed back to a very simple design keeping the basis of the old one.
