  1. if it goes as badly as we all expect it to at the weekend and he doesn't walk - ahead of another bloodbath coming at spurs - then he's clearly just riding the gravy train for his payoff like the rest of them he can talk about patience and time all he wants, at some point it's just bullshit, he's been here since june and we're literally worse than we've ever been Judge me after 10 an unspecified number of games humpings. Think the difference with SMC is if it turns anywhere like it turned on Pardew he'll walk then, I'd like to think so anyway, wouldn't want to think him enough of a cunt to put up with that for money

  3. agree with Wullie's sentiment entirely but there's an element of having to move with the times here and the above is what i think, a phasing in of televising everything with a guarantee of significant increased funding to lower divisions, grassroots and kids football most of the problem in england, as wullie rightly says, is that the money just stays concentrated in the hands of a few top tier professional clubs so if that were the likely outcome then nah i'd be inclined to say fuck off
  4. Ballsy to leave his cushy Sky gig for that like. He'd be an absolute coward if he didn't take that job like How so? Well assuming he wants to be a manager, this is as good a job as he could possibly get. Would be a serious lack of ambition to say no Well, it's a job he's on a hiding to nothing for as well. Will never be able to compete with the big two and has to engineer catching Atletico led by Simeone. While not speaking the language, presumably. Good for him like, hope he does well as I like a lot of what I've seen in his TV analysis. He's signed onto May. Nobody thinks he can or should catch the top 3. Top 4 would be a good job (5 points behind teams that should fall off in the second half of the season). Top 6 - given circumstances would be decent. You're very fortunate to know the targets he's been set so soon. Don't know how you do it tbh.
  5. We need 2 midfielders tbh, or 1 fucking incredible one who can carry the rest. They need to be having a serious look at the loan market to try and get some competent bodies in like.

  8. Was just about to mention that, Valencia are the ones signing loads from his stable aye.
  9. it's so fucking stupid an approach it's entirely believable because not one of them know a thing about football
  10. The way he describes taking more coke and booze and becoming best mates with Moat is class
  11. Did McLaren coach Johnson at Boro? Maybe got in touch to train at our place for some reason. God knows why we'd say yes. Trying to avoid the press or some shit?
  12. Will probably play well against Benteke and get a fucking contract extension
  13. shit like this fucking terrifies me man
  14. Yep, having a think about whether to give them another chance We are literally the football personification of a man standing in a burning building having a think whether he should look for the tap and a bucket of water.
  15. i think so too tbh but reading that article it's very, very easy to believe it all especially when you consider his actions after pardew left last year
  16. Yeah but they don't give a shit. you'd think they'd give a shit about potentially throwing away what £100m in tv money next year If you had to guess based on that article it sounds like Charnley last season, too fucking scared to act and spend money for fear of the wrath of Ashley. I genuinely think Ashley is as hands off as he says he is. Just incredible if true, utterly incredible. you know Llambias may have been a complete cunt in every single regard but at least he vaguely seemed to know what he was doing, Charnley seems lost tbh Sacking McLaren and/or spending a massive wedge in January is an acknowledgement he got it at all wrong for a second time meaning the balance sheet looks like shit. That'll be his job. It's going to take an Ashley intervention again I guess.

  18. If that Telegraph article is true I've just no words at all, how can anyone be that clueless about football?
  19. Coming out of contract aye? About right then. Has anyone seen anything of him, is he remotely what we need?
