You're all over the place here, as are most people when it comes to Anita imo. A lot of the things he does atm he's clearly being asked to do. Again just think back to games under Pardew, he played much higher up and often got in and about the opposition penalty area. He's being told not to do that now, it's as plain as day. As for doing nothing with the ball he's rarely got any decent options for a forward pass and I'm guessing he's also bring told not to play it long. Lurching into criticisms of him not being physically imposing or whatever when we're discussing how he uses the ball and is literally the only player we have who does it is just pointless imo. He's a limited midfielder and we need to upgrade, but he's good at doing what he's being asked to do. The main problem is the overall system isn't working so he's being scapegoated by some for that when he's actually probably the only one doing what he's being asked

Exactly Maddening people can't see this. I've also never seen him bottle a tackle, when did this start?

Hopefully Squires does a Blatter cartoon this week.

Has another English football club ever apologised to its fans for being shit before? That's the most amazing part of it for me, it's staggering stuff. It's just like that Hayward thing in South Park. We're sooorrry

You are so fucking wrong it's unbelievable. The more I think about it now before McLaren came some of Anita's best performances were with him much higher up the pitch. He's playing where he's told, simple as that.

I don't even think defence is our issue any more. It's the 3 attacking midfielders and striker losing ball so much and creating fuck all meaning ball comes straight back and we are under pressure time and time again. Every time the back 4 or deep midfielder has ball there is no one trying to slot into space or taking their marker for a run to open up space. It's pedestrian i think this is right, little vurn is doing what's asked of him but he can't make the more attack-minded (!) players move into space like he does looking for passes it's alright saying he should pass forwards but unless he's under instructions to go long or direct then he's not going to do it, and rightly so when he hasn't got the ball is a different matter though obvs Pass and Move though. He passes and stays where he is. Are you for real? He literally has more off the ball movement than 90% of the rest of the team Aye but not in positive areas why is it so hard for people to grasp that he's not being asked to play in forward areas? I mean positive areas as in areas where he can actually do something useful once he receives the ball. He has good off the ball movement as in he is good at getting into a position to receive a pass but this position is usually very deep and his pass is most likely going to go to one of the centre halves once he receives it. What he should be doing is still getting into positions to receive a pass but also putting himself in a position where he can make a positive forward pass rather than a position where his options are either to pass it along the back four or to hoof it forward Again, the way I see it he's playing where he's asked. Think back to him under Pardew, he never played in these areas he was around the pitch much more. He's being told to do it and he's doing what he's told, that is very clear.

he'll make for Russia with his new best friend Putin Probably this. But God there are no words to describe how good this is. Memes can't even cover it.

It's a fucking wretched email.

He's not alone in this mind but yeah for the most part this is fairly true. We need a serious upgrade in January if there is any hope of staying up. Might be over by then tbf mind.

It's his nickname within the club cause he sucks Ashley balls, you knew this right?
-
Is that his actual address? Up there in Barnet, N20? Yeah, ginormous place that I would not encourage anyone to actually vandalize in any meaningful way under most circumstances. Yes, it is rather large. https://goo.gl/maps/mfZDjFo5HBq Wonder who gets to live in the Gate Lodge? Llambias or Charnley? probably a dog basket at the end of his four poster for those two cunts to share

i concur, same for rodgers by all accounts

They'll be waiting until Rodgers gets sacked.

I think he's basically the only idea they've got, and it's not even an idea.

there's such a thing as the greater good, because he sporadically creates the odd chance in a sea of shit it doesn't mean he's the best thing for the team overall tbh against chelsea and citeh i'd probably not drop him on reflection but they have to be his last chances to put in a game influencing performance imo, if he can't do it then he should get to fuck back 5 thauvin sissoko wijnaldum aarons perez mitrovic we've got to change something man, he's been playing the same players and formation for months and funnily enough changing neither is not working What is the greater good? Leaving everything up to Janmaat to create? Wijnaldum, Colback, Thauvin should all be dropped before Sissoko based on performances The greater good is playing a player might integrate better with the team. At the risk of sounding all TCD Sissoko is little more than an athlete who can transition play quickly, but he doesn't do it consistently enough to warrant his place in the team without the fear of being dropped imo. 3 years he's been right? More or less come January. He's no better than the day we signed him, worse in fact. I'd be interested to know your grand solution because for me picking the same players who do the same shit week in week out in a poor formation that complements nobody is just madness. He's got to send a message at some point or they'll just keep coasting and picking up wages. Why wouldn't they? Honestly what I think we should do is focus all our attacks down the right flank with Sissoko and Janmaat and then let the rest of our attacking players get into the box or just on the edge of the area for a cross/cut back. Once we started doing this against Watford we started actually looking like we might score Well, that's a tactical masterstroke right there

Everyone's a much of a muchness, really, it all comes down to who's actually going to dig in and show some character when they play. This is it. People need dropping for the greater good.
-
Laughable stuff, he produces nothing*. We're at the point where messages need sending from the management to the players. Colback and Sissoko are untouchable yet they produce nothing. Get Aarons in if he's fit, Perez in with Mitrovic. Keep Thauvin cause he's at least trying stuff and is new to the league, same for Wijnaldum and Mbemba. The rest can get fucked. *he'll clearly have a good game now mind.

Line drawn in the sand he says. I'll fully expect not to see Colback playing at the weekend then, and maybe some bold decisions like dropping Sissoko etc. Not holding my breath.
