  1. Unless there's evidence to the contrary I've always said if he was suitably coached to do nothing but sit, tackle and break up play there's no reason why he couldn't be a decent PL player, decent no more. I stand by this in football terms however his injury record added to how bad he's actually been means I'd rather send him down the river.
  2. Agree, off to Russia / The Sea with him
  3. If he is told to play between the 18 yard and halfway line only, break up play and move the ball on instantly to someone better, to reign in the stupid bookings and to stop being injured for massive chunks of the season then aye he might do a job for us again.
  4. Nobody is talking about Austin at all like
  5. The defence looks worse than ever to me like, and there's still no semblance of defensive or indeed team organisation or transitioning. This is a thread about the new coaching team not new signings, so far I'm disappointed in their output, albeit I'm fully aware of the near terminal damage your man Pardew did to the club so I shouldn't be surprised.
  6. We do. Our priorities now have to be: Finalise Mbemba Sign someone to play with him Sign a good utility defender who can cover fullback Get rid of 2 of Willo, Saylor & Colo, preferably all Get the fucking defence to function and stop conceding goals for fun . . . Buy a winger or another striker
  7. Yep. And we're still playing Williamson, Gouffran, Obertan etc. At this point in time the team look no better than last year really, equally shambolic at the back and not much better going forward. Can't see how a new coaching team didn't come in from day 1 and train them relentlessly to shut up shop.
  8. This. This. So you are all ignoring the fact that creativity is about passing and moving? De Jongs movement into the box are as much about creativity as someone threading a pass. The fuck? Clearly Chicane is talking about a player who creates with the ball at his feet, I.e. picking through balls and so on, being inventive with the ball and creating for others. De Jong is not that type of player, that's all, but yeah there can be creativity in simple passing and moving but it would rely on other people too so in that respect he's not individually creative.

    John Carver

Up there with the best of them!
  10. What 'worries' me so far is we've not gone down the traditional route of trying to fix a shite football team by becoming solid first and then building. I get that scoring goals and being creative is also a massive problem for us but I suspect unless we address the fact we concede goals for fun as a team then we'll still be in the shit overall.

He must have paid to have that interview done and printed like
  12. If we don't offer him a new deal on good money right now we deserve what will inevitably happen further down the line. But then again in Mike's world when he gets 5m for Aarons from Liverpool he'll still have made a healthy profit and that's all that matters.
  13. As far as Pardew is concerned #neverforget Until he's dead, and maybe not even then, the cunt
  14. Only way it goes near that is with add ons surely, maybe some nonsense about CL qualification etc. 10-12m cash bid is my guess and they'll try and peddle Cisse for as close to the same as possible.
  15. Jesus aye, keep forgetting about this crock
  16. it's a vinyl kitchen floor from the 1980's man, ludicrous stuff
  17. of all of them the only one i've seen put in a cross good enough for the likes of mitrovic to be attacking is cabella, and he's fucked when i say them i mean the attackers of course, janmaat can whip a great cross in
  18. Same here, he almost singlehandedly ruined my enjoyment of a game I played and loved since I was a bairn. Fuck right off with this bollocks Dropout, someone posted it and some of us checked it out.
  19. Thought it would be the 'Members' kit on Saturday? it has been for the last few years wearing Mbemba's kit you say? http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/slides/photos/003/845/315/hi-res-9e7316b36b05baf7380b52151b85b727_crop_north.jpg?w=630&h=420&q=75
  20. i hope he fucks off but if he stays and mbemba is as fast and physical as they say he his then i could probably live with it for the remainder of his contract
  21. I do blame him for seemingly making zero effort to improve. It's telling about his character that he doesn't appear to recognize his weaknesses and try to counter them. His heading has got progressively worse for example, and for someone who must be thanking his lucky stars that he's anywhere near the premier league, he should have worked harder to improve to help the club that pays his living. Utter cunt IMO.
