  1. No, didn't say he was linked to the piracy, it said he was the one who issued the Saudi response to the WTO report (i.e. email-gate) I'm pretty sure this was the same guy named in the WTO report specifically mind
  2. thought that ben jacobs tweet was interesting mind, that the PL wanted clarification of that one bloke who was linked to piracy (or something) and is also on the board of PiF....there's always been the question over legal entities etc. but if he's heavily implicated in the piracy stuff then it might be what they're targetting
  3. Reckon that concludes the matter. Only a matter of time. Agreed. Cat out of the bag there for me. have SA said they'll allow prosecution of people in their courts? cause if they don't then i could see that being a major issue based on that That seems to be referring to lifting the ban on beIN broadcasting in SA. If that's what they're requiring they may be on incredibly dodgy ground, because there's certainly no offence involved in not allowing beIN to broadcast in SA. i disagree, a major part of the WTO finding was SA blocking legal redress in their own country for violations That doesn't seem to be what he was referring to, he didn't say 'enforce rights', it seems to me that he's referring to beIN not being able to broadcast in SA. "to take their rights" were the words he used, guess we interpret it differently

  6. He really is. Looks like he is pissing Masters off too with his relentless questioning. wouldn't be the same cunt that sent that letter by any chance? he was an SNP MP part of the digital committees thing
  7. trying to be a little objective about it why are people getting so antsy now, if they approve the takeover tomorrow it's not going to have an impact for the remainder of this season - for me as long as they get it done by the time this season ends latest we're good (ideally earlier but hey ho)
  8. Yeah, because our Westminster government with its ruined COVID economy, about to be further destroyed by a harsh no-deal Brexit, can withhold trade talks with Saudi Arabia just to let NUFC get new owners. For fucks sake. he means the saudis play hardball no?
  9. it's part of the process man, there's a 21 day period with which the buyer is allowed to take action to rectify whatever it is that disqualified them So it’s not a full rejection, because that in itself would allow Ashley to walk away from it and keep the deposit. i don't think any of us really know but according to those rules someone posted a few days ago (so about 300 pages or so) there were a few parts of the procedure that meant it isn't a hard no unless i guess the buyer says fuck you to the PL or summit, if they want to change what disqualified them they have the chance within the rules Even if that is the case then, surely we would be coming to the end of the 21 day period, based of how long everything has taken, and the piracy changes SA have made. would to think so aye, logic would suggest all the anti piracy stuff that SA peddled out in a short space of time was related post-WTO report, but who knows though

  12. Independence Day from Ashley. lets knock up a statue quickly so we can go and tear the cunt down
  13. it's directly related to bruce but i'm taken aback at the shite level of analysis at HT from all of them on BBC like, amounted to: Q: what can newcastle do? A: hope they don't score 10 lol think that's why i was amazed to see bruce actually make a clear tactical change
  14. we'll lose, bruce had his luck vs. villa & sheff that'll be it for a while i reckon
  15. As I posted in the match thread he fucked the first half, but second half did everything right imo. Gayle scores and he's done a great job imo. Credit where it's due. Credit where it's due? For doing exactly what? for the tactical change at the start of the second half that got us back in the game, saw us winning the ball higher up the pitch, got ASM on the ball more who created a gilt edged chance for gayle who fucked it should have been 1-1 then who knows it's kind of sad that +30 games into the season i felt compelled to write what i did because it's honestly the first time i can remember bruce making a clear tactical change that improved things for us The change in tactics did help us but I don't think you can play the "it should have been 1-1" card without acknowledging it could have easily been 3-0 by half time. of course i can, because it was 1-0 not 3-0 and that goal would have made it 1-1 i also stated he fucked the first half massively, there's no doubt about that, and was very lucky to be only one down
  16. That’s the thing, they can literally take as long as they want, there is no time limit on it and they aren’t answerable to anyone. aye but on the other hand they've a product to protect and grow so having new owners willing to spend money and bring new players and investment will be at the front of their minds, they'll know we're a club in a coma atm If they cared about that it wouldn’t have taken 12/13 weeks already though. nah, new ownership will only impact next season in terms of benefit to the PL with new players and such, there's no commercial incentive for them to do anything wrt to this season imo it's clearly been very complicated and at the same time as the restart stuff, there's no need to conspiracies to think there's anything nefarious at play

  18. that's a very good point actually, the risk of a negative saudi response knocking back the application at this stage following public announcements of cracking down on piracy etc. would be massive
  19. EDIT: i'm just edgy cause i want to be released to be able to enjoy things again, sick to death of hating everything about the club
  20. Would like to think so, but I'd settle for this week. George's tweet about documents being moved around and dialogue taking place would suggest that it's being finalised one way or the other . Hopefully it's positive. It really doesn't like Thanks for pissing on my chips . I'm taking it as a positive, at least until another week inevitably passes without any further breakthrough. it's a positive because it means the process isn't closed and finished, which means there's still hope
