gave up on promotion next season then

normally i'd agree but he's the figurehead for an absolutely piss-taking, corrupt organisation that have shit all over us and the city...he should be accountable one way or another imo wouldn't endorse anything daft but standing outside his house with a few banners and tipped off journos as a one off i could get behind, london mag style

can't get past us not hearing more from ashley/bishop if it was completely dead myself, either in the sense of complaining about it/talking about mauriss or some other fakeover/talking about concrete planning for the new season with ashley in charge and no prospect of a takeover Whilst there are enough people talking about it it’s still a good enough excuse for a poor pre-season. yeah you might be right, age old excuse not to spend money again and so on...dunno, this had gone on so long i really think we'd have heard more, indeed the last thing from charners was that he was committed to the SA deal no?

Was a lot better than I was expecting tbf, shame Copenhagen ran out of legs in ET. They were completely bucked from about 60 minutes in. A great effort, especially from the keeper. love watching games where players like that Falk play so well on the night, he deserved more out of the game really

striker from a smaller team in germany you say? well ok then

The consortium haven't given anyone a legal basis to go on unfortunately, just "this isn't fair". Doesn't give anyone much to go off really. I mean it seems like he's about to start quoting their own rules and procedures against them suggesting their actions are against a "member clubs" interests or some shit but he then abandons that for something else and makes loads of vague assertions. I hope he's legit and takes them to court like, fuck them.

Nobody has reported anywhere that the papers to withdraw from the O&D test have been submitted though. The deal ‘expired’ in June, yet the O&D test was (and is) continuing. The PL still have a decision to make which is why Staveley and co have been so bullish in winding up the fans for a response. Which is also why the PL aren’t able to comment on it, the process is still on-going. If the whole process had been withdrawn, the PL would be able to come out and state that. If the PL green light it, the deal between Staveley and Ashley will be made instantly and the club will be sold. Wildly optimistic imo. If this was/is the plan why didn't PiF just threaten to walk away if a decision wasn't made by a certain date? Would have got the same reaction from fans imo, maybe even a better one as there would still be definite hope to change things. They've seen an out and took it imo.

Nah not really. I was expecting her to thank the fans and at least tell us to keep trying to put the pressure on, but instead it was just more like 'Thanks we're humbled'. Right. A "don't give up, we won't" isn't too much to ask surely Has she not already said that? She’d also be battered in 6 weeks if the sale still hasn’t gone through after repeating it over and over again that they won’t give up. Maybe it’s good enough that she’s acknowledged the response of the fans, when she didn’t have to say anything at all. I mean she made a call to arms which was taken up impressively by the fans, just think a tiny of tiniest nods to suggest things aren't totally dead could be managed. Could have been anything man, vague as hell, just something. Hopefully there's a specific reason she hasn't done so in the positive sense.

Miles better than anything we have up front. Looks class.

They would have done that by now tbh. Perhaps the test will fail but this whole process where forcing might just put The EPL under the spotlight in a way that changes things for any future take over of our club or any club in the EPL. Surely that in its self is worth being keyboard warriors for. No of course, anything better than the current pish
