  1. Nah, nothing of the sort. Just admitting to a particularly god-awful first half. Distinct lack of admittance that the dickhead had anything to do with it mind, he basically just fixed something that happened to be wrong. No idea how it came to be that way personally but I'm glad Pards sorted it out.
  2. so it's the same as those other comments then, he's come in at HT like a white knight to save us from those despicable, failing long ball tactics that he's spent 4 years employing what is it about this guy that people print and believe the unadulterated bullshit he spouts?
  3. Yep, the most I've 'enjoyed' NUFC in recent times was the vitriol aimed at Pardew in a handful of games and the hope that his time was coming to an end. I'd like to think that should we have a sorry run now and a miserable lead in to the end of the year it'll all come back. The man is an absolute c***. I hate to agree but I do. I'm just worried that a long run of defeats won't change anything. aye it's a fucking shitty thing to have to be saying but he's a vile shithouse of a man sadly

  5. yep. can't disagree with that like, look very much like he's shot his load to me and the fluky victories are over with
  6. Like he turned up at half time and fixed someone else's fuck up. EXACTLY! Well put, that's exactly it.
  7. Was just reading another set of quotes from him about how he changed the game with subs to put more "technically proficient" players on the pitch or whatever he said. It's fucking astonishing how consistently he gets away with shit in the sense that he picked the team in the first place
  8. "Risk of trying to score goals" is what he clearly means. Which entirely fits with his mentality as a manager, i.e. seeing any game-plan that seeks to get us actively looking to score goals as being something that will result in us conceding them. A.k.a. the pessimistic coward's approach to football. Hence why we try to shut up shop if we're a goal ahead, with clear instructions to not go for a second goal. Or, as with today, why we don't actively look to score goals until we're behind. Too "risky" to aim to score goals unless there's nothing to lose. I was mainly laughing at how he can't even say simple things right and ends up making up new terms like "play with risk". How hard can it be for him to say "we needed to take more risks in our play" or something else that makes sense.
  9. just seen the goal that lass scored who is up against james etc. for best goal, jesus fucking christ
  10. seems like all the uncovering of dodginess is coming out of the london broadsheets like, hope they get some real fucking dirt on blatter like (not that it'll ever happen)
  11. are the media in any other countries going after this? seems like it's just the english media, which is great in one respect, but in another means we'll forever be getting the short end of the stick and will never see another tournament unless FIFA is disbanded fucking FIFA
  12. hard to believe he's jumped from pardew to that man, he must surely have had better fucking options out of england
  13. i'm sure he himself would (and perhaps actually already has) acknowledged he was a bit of a twat in his younger years but when he appeared to have matured personality-wise he's come up against pardew and now a steve bruce stuck in a performance rut of grim death
  14. I've no problem whatsoever with him being backup to the first choice wingers and him having to put in performances to earn his place. Sadly we have Pardew which will likely mean he's always a Gouffran or an Obertan away from never getting a proper chance.
  15. it's absolute fucking purgatory
  16. I'll judge HBA on his next move. To me he's had mitigation in the past for the shite, well not exactly mitigation but he was a bolshy young prick and fell out with some people. With us it appeared he'd honestly grown up but he came up against a truly wretched manager and human being up he's taken a temporary out and landed with another average manager putting him to blame for shit when in reality Bruce's own team has been garbage for months. He'll be on a free and should be choosing the right club and manager for himself at this stage, if he chooses badly or chooses well and doesn't perform then that's that. I think/hope he'll go to Roma and be class.
  17. If? Surely you meant after? He didn't have a lot of choices for team selection but he chose the wrong ones at every opportunity. Innevitable yet still infuriating. Not following you. I mean starting yesterday if we lose 6 on the bounce what will the reaction be? As you say yesterday looked very much like back to business Pardew so it's very possible we might hit s*** street. Sorry I was being facetious, I meant not if we lose the next 6 but rather AFTER we lose the next 6 which seems more realistic. Even if some of our young players come back I can't see them displacing the old guard easily. Ah yeah you're more than likely right, stars do look aligned for a Pardew fuckfest of death. I'm just interested to see how it'll play out, 5 league wins enough to forget 2 years of shit for most people.

  19. We've done well with getting around our recent injuries, where we fell short yesterday was his thinking that he's better than he is and dropping Cabella for Gouffran who offered nothing. Cabella may have offered nothing if he'd played but I would have expected him to have at least given West Ham something to think about at the back, unlike Gouffran. Aye this is the issue, he'll cry injuries and it'll just be accepted by 'everyone'.
  20. By the way his excuse is already set for the impending run of shit/patchy results... injuries are what will have cost him, nothing mentioned by anyone that the last 6 games was pretty shite and unsustainable.
  21. Wonder what'll happen if we went and lost 6 on the bounce now inc. the cup quarter, is our enough to get the rage up again?
