  1. hopefully when the actual football gets going and we've got some hope and interest again things will settle down
  2. aye this is bullshit, fuck off with it to the other thread or don't bother
  3. if that was remotely true he'd have been arrested surely, jesus christ
  4. other than win trophies is this a wind up?
  5. There's no doubt he'd improve him. Just giving him some proper instructions and a structure to work to would help no end. there's a good video posted in here i think explaining that joelinton did well under nagelsmann in a team that pressed well and had clear, defined instructions i reckon the lad would look a different player under a proper manager like rafa...maybe not a £40m player but that's water under the bridge now the important thing will be to try and get something out of him
  6. don't be, like any sport there's a tiny % who actually understand it the rest read what they're told and follow, a bit like life rafa is the only guy for us like, if it cost 20m to break his contract it'd be worth it
  7. yeah he made a point of saying part of the reason he took the china job was to make sure his staff (that lads) had jobs he's a fucking diamond man
  8. waiting for the first fan to dress up in the arab garb carrying a machete and severed head/hand for the bantz
  9. Yeah in thought Pardew was bad but this guy man.
  10. there was a class twitter post i can't find again riffing on the keyes chelp basically along the lines of "why aren't newcastle fans getting on planes to sort out the saudi regime? stop fucking enjoying yourselves and go and do something about it" as a response to journos starting to twist the knife on us
  11. it doesn't when the chinese season hasn't started and we could get in and nick Rafa before it does which would increase the chances of him leaving, if he starts the season there i think it'll be more difficult
  12. this party political broadcast is brought to you by Steve's Kebabs
  13. Next Friday is Ramadhan for Muslims. A whole month until around 24-25May. Then its the Eid celebration. Could last a further week. Think this will be done and confirmed early next week and not beyond Friday. Atleast a statement on the sale or something. People keep saying this but why does it matter? Muslims work during Ramadan, nothing going to stop them getting on a plane and having some photos taken/doing pressers etc. Lockdown might. Yeah, but not Ramadan which was the point.

  15. They've been part of Staveley's attempts since she started, Saudi Arabia hadn't, so think it's just that they didn't want to get cut out/Staveley didn't want to cut them out. Reubens have clear interest in the region, and could be Staveley wants in on that for instance, so a bit of a quid pro quo. Could be anything, absolutely nothing I would worry about in the way you suggest. Also their extensive property in the city and those links perhaps as you'd imagine there's going to be various developments going on the years to come.
  16. about the moral relativism piece afaik very few people chucked their ST's the moment ashley's business practices were revealed to go and stand outside his shops calling for a bouycott - rather it was used as a means to an end by a small minority (that i fully supported btw) once it became very clear what his intentions were, and had we known ashley was a piece of shit in 2007 i highly doubt very few would have had anything to say then either because we were so desperate to get rid of shepherd i find the saudi regime reprehensible but they're buying a sporting institution and unless they choose to the run the club into the ground for 13 years then i won't be standing outside the ground with banners and flags calling for them to fuck off at this point i chose to divorce the two things with ashley until such time as he was clearly taking the piss out of the club, and for me it'll require something similar for this lot don't expect everyone to feel the same mind EDIT: shit Chris R got in ahead of me
