  1. can't say it any better than wullie really decky, what would surprise me is if ashley didn't act in the face of relegation and possible losing out on the biggest payday in football history (probably) if we go down why would he want to keep him, given that he'd be responsible for essentially destroying all the good work ashley and llamblias have spent the last few years building?
  2. in MORPETH?!! what the fucks in morpeth man?
  3. Was Ba, then Hatem, now this guy. yep, said this myself a while back
  4. If we pick up less than four points from the next two games then perhaps alarm bells will start ringing but honestly I don't see Pardew leaving even if we went down. seriously, on what basis?
  5. yeah i don't think they'll sack him like, don't even think they're considering it, and it could really come back to hurt us if results don't go our way lose at home to fulham he has to go imo, that'd be the end of the argument right there
  6. thing is we've seen how ashley has reacted in the past with replacing a manager at short notice, what do you think he'd do this time? personally i'd be all for binning him and leaving carver in charge to the end of the season we'd at least beat one of fulham / mackems to keep us up feelgood factor of releasing the pardew chains should be enough

they must have someone decent lined up surely, you can't sack a manager with 7 games left and their fixture list without absolute confidence in what you're doing surely?
  8. the only way it happens imo is if carr recommends someone to them and he knows their contract is up or they can buy it out cheap or some shit, and i agree it'll be foreign which i have no problem with whatsoever
  9. he's fucking woeful like hope we're about to laugh about this in may for a couple of months mind 'cause if we stay up he'll be putting the teams out in august again make no mistake
  10. i'm still firmly on a 1 myself, always have been, no way this could possibly, possibly go south
  11. question, has pardew got a single result this season from a fixture that you'd not expect us to win? i mean vs. the top 6 teams, or in a game where were were decimated by injuries? i do not include results where we've had to pull something back from when he's got it totally wrong in the first place not that there's many of chelsea (h) springs to mind keep saying it but this is the mark of a good manager

mate was at a dinner with MoN this week where questions were asked of him, apparently he intimated that if they stay up "monumental changes" are going to take place at the club and he's not happy that it's not "his team"
  13. we need a fit ben arfa, him plus sissoko we'll score a bagful if pardew doesn't insist on playing like newcastle falcons hopefully carr has identified a young striker as i don't think we should be spaffing a massive chunk of our wad on a 'name' unless they're comfortable out wide and down the middle
  14. upgrade the manager, solve a shitload of our problems in one move
  15. there must be ranks of agents rubbing their hands with glee at the impending cash increase, probably changing their players names to johhny englishman and sending a compilation DVD to MoN as we speak
  16. there was something that may or may not have been a sports direct type place in my town in korea, wasn't exactly the same but was very similar and was red & blue branded shut down now mind
  17. same, all the bloke has said is that signing the players in january added 10m to if they'd signed in summer 2013 on frees...he's not mentioning last summer at all like Aye, deliberately! but what did you want him to say, how could he have satisified you?? does this mean you think they're lying: "How can they say that at the same time as admitting they got it wrong in 2012 and also insisting they were battling for players at that time?" my assumption is they were too rigid in their valuation of players and walked away from deals in the summer, not that they weren't trying to sign anyone, probably because they thought our squad was better than it was Why didn't he talk about the money they saved compared to last summer as opposed to the additional money they're spending compared to this summer coming? How on Earth me taking exception to that is leading to me getting the anti-Ashley treatment is beyond me. you're not getting the anything treatment, just don't fully understand the crux of your chelp...i mean i get it, but it seems pointless, they're hardly gonna start talking about hypothetical past financial scenarios during a presser announcing the club being in profit again are they?
  18. anyone remotely confident about this?

  21. what's the alternative though? he says we spent 31m in january but we could have signed the same players in the summer for more and spend 48m? don't really see what you're getting at there, they didn't sign the players in the summer, end of story

they're due a result against everton for a start
  23. dunno, can't say that it's bollocks when so much in football finance depends on wages these days Aye, just because it's not the way we are used to think about transfers, doesn't mean it's bollocks. In fact, from the running of the club's perspective, that's arguably the best way to look at spending, as it implies planning ahead. yeah it's a new approach and people aren't used to it, it'll probably catch on at some point
