honestly ain't got time to pick that apart mate, i'll just say there was little in cabaye's form pre-injury to suggest he'd return the way he did (imo the new signings galvanised him) and do you really have to ask why i thought 11 in 13 was irreversible with the same squad of players? it's 11 in 13 man, pardew's got previous in taking west ham to their worst losing run in 70 years before being sacked too, for example...but i'm sure that's not relevant eh? he was lost and had no answers, i know it and others know it, but as we're dealing in speculation it's pointless arguing about really

Guess it depends on how you see things - even after that shocking run of form (in all competitions, mind) - were we ever in the bottom 3? Do you need to be close, just outside or in the bottom three positions to be relegated? so why have the relegationometer thread at all? you're basically saying we're unable to make predictions based on form and results until it's all over because we were 16th or whatever in mid-january doesn't mean that's where we'd stay, the point being that we were on a seemingly irreversible slide until pardew was backed with new players, so i maintain the position that for someone to argue we were a 1 in dec/jan then they'd have to be ignoring what was right in front of their eyes if they hadn't backed pardew in january i still think we'd have been down, or it'd have gone to the very end
-
fuck it, i'm not going back to find the exact numbers but what was it lost 11 of 13 or something? the manager had no fucking clue how to change it or even come close to getting a result we were much more than a 1 before the transfers started rolling in i'm sorry like but we were, it was easy 50/50 at that point
-
if you thought that in december you're insane 1 for me too now mind you, that was an important win to get yesterday and should get the players (and hopefully pardew) over the mental hurdle

Its f***ing 5 minute sin man, they had one shot on target and scored. That's the thing, we started like we always do with caution, reminds me of when he admitted he did it against Sprus and we lost 5-0. You can't sit back andwait for the game to come to you ffs. Let the game settle down first man. Is it Pardew who is writing? That's exactly the criticism. Why let them settle into the game before you when you're the home team ffs? 3 f***ing minutes man Well those are three minutes where Soton settled their game and scored...your point is? The game had hardley started man you massive diuck splash. They had one attack and put the ball in the box...it happens sometimes. FFS OMG SOUTHAMPTON HAVE MADE 3 PASSES PARDEW OUT! i think his point is just that in a massive game like this we should have been out to crush them from the whistle as the home team

it's a much better looking team with anita in place of dead legs jonas mind Why is Anita relevant to Jonas? Jonas will be playing on the wing, please don't tell me you want Anita on the wing no, i'd play a 3 in midfield and have cissoko roaming right (not an out and out winger) jonas is fucking spent as a winger, not that he was very good in the first place -

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

think they passed that point a long time ago myself, they also need a sissoko in their midfield and a proper out and out striker...ba would perhaps have been a good fit for them -

his loyalty to lille should be noted mind, there's been a tendency in france that marseilles and lyon can pick players up almost at will from the other french top division clubs yet he stayed there as long as he did hopefully he's just level-headed and is happy if he's happy with his football and the club around him -

think cabaye will do another year to see how it goes now we've got a better squad behind him -
how old is alnick anyway?
-
barca should buy the fucker, just to pay real back and shit them up real good
-
Forster did not get anywhere near enough of a chance before he was sold - I remember plenty on here backing Krul over him even though he hadn't had games in the first team..... We could live to regret this.... howay man, forster was wanted by celtic and has been playing CL football this season...what were we expected to do, tell him to sack the chance of that off and sit on our bench? nonsense what we may regret is not signing a top quality younger backup
-
27 now, jesus where does the time go?
-
not sure if you could do it but thinking of t-shirts and so on i'd be tempted to look at doing a recreation of famous teams / formations as opposed to just goals but in the same style....so example would be the team formation vs. manyoo 5-0 on a half pitch with the date and result etc. not sure if i've explained that very well or not
-
spurs would be mental now not to impose their own restrictions on travel for away european games....official travel, bus them in and out and all that shit
-
ben arfa has been crying out for a player to play with him who can make intelligent runs into space from deep so he can play the cheeky through balls he's fucking amazing at i'm at the thought of these two 'cause on early evidence i can hardly think of a player i'd have liked us to buy more than sissoko to compliment benny
-
would you rather have santon in a wide forward position for us, or jonas? he's obviously not a winger but if it keeps jonas out of the team it's got to be worth doing
-
I'm sure pardew is looking forward to playing: Cisse Gouffran - Sissoko - Ben Arfa Cabaye - someone as soon as possible. If we get this team out this season, we will hurt somebody real bad. Fairly confident of that Oh and hope its the mackems btw it'd be beyond hilarious to decimate them in the derby and finish above them in the league after the first half of the season
-
well technically he's right, they don't have the money partially because kenny spaffed it on nonsense
-
if he looks that close to the first team i'd consider it as a means to drop Gutierrez personally
