Fatty buying over $200,000 of Champers in New York as KK drama unfolds

He purely and simply wants to be liked! So now there's no chance of a reprieve with the supporters I think he'll sell within the next week and Keegan will be reinstated by the new owners. yup -

The truth is a lot of people are still thinking with their heart instead of their brain. yeah i know, i'm still prickly about all these fucktards who told me to stop "moaning" all summer 'cause i wasn't happy with mikes transfer activity i was "moaning" and not knowing what i was talking about but now an entirely different facet of mikes plan ('cause he must have one obviously) doesn't support what they want and fucken hell breaks loose personally i like KK and wanted him to stay but the conflicts are/were obvious & assuming ashley does have his plan then he's chosen his idea above the man, noble really also, for what it's worth, when we get bought out again in the very near future and an indian or whoever is throwing money at the team i for one think there are better managers out there we could choose to spend it, but that'll be me talking shite and moaning again probably -
tell you what, if he comes back under new ownership (which was my prediction the moment he sacked) they might as well just give him the city!
-
didn't he also say he bought the club to enjoy it? ain't gonna be much of that going on now is there? he could watch the games on the telly without having to own the club...50m profit or whatever might ease his burden for me he's a goner unless there's a massive statement of intent with the new manager - but then he's done that once and failed to make the statement of intent in the market to back it up bye bye mike is my prediction
-
Watch the TV show Gladiators, we're the crowd. zing!
-
if an indian/arab/jewish/colombian (or whatever) businessman buys the club tomorrow then invests money in the squad in january he'll be flavour of the month until it goes wrong on the pitch, then he "won't understand us" for years everyone was crying about getting shepherd out and running a professional club, now we're falling over ourselves to attract anyone with money so he'll spend it on players regardless of the implications ashley is unpopular (now) 'cause he's not doing what everyone wants, which may very well be different from what is needed, when the dust settles people may see this but i doubt it watch the movie gladiator, we're the crowd

seriously, people need to calm the fuck down about this shit, it's getting embarrassing and frankly half the people trusted mike ashley all summer to "know what he's he's doing" so what's changed? he was buying champagne while llambias sacked KK - it'll all be part of the plan, no? -

he publicly backed the abilities of smith & duff and stood by barton i thought he had us playing good football and we'd have had a good season, but lets not pretend he's arsene-fucking-wenger eh? -
the only direction the club should be going is the tried, tested and proven method of the last 100 years Which is quite simply that the highest placed clubs are that because they buy the best players. So less of the "system" bollocks and attempting to defend a bunch of amateurs. The manager runs the club. He picks his staff and scouting systems. He picks who to sell and who to buy. And his board back him as much as possible, which in the case of NUFC is a damn sight more than poxy little clubs that have to incorporate "business plans" and financial limits simply because they are poxy little clubs that need to do it because they are poxly little clubs. Whatever people who say they supported the club when they tried to adopt such a policy.........as knackerjacks and idiots like mick says to the contrary............ mackems.gif End of story you know enough about football to know that this doesn't tell the whole story - liverpool, who dominated for decades didn't just buy the best players a la chel$ki did they? they bought good players and made them the best players in most cases whilst also making sure they were bringing through their own players, it was scouting & coaching in a lot of cases as much as just money man u famously spent 25 years or so without the title, during that time they broke british transfer record after transfer record but it was only when fergie combined their spending power with a well maintained/scouted & coached youth system did they become what they are now arsenal speaks for itself, prior to wenger they were like liverpool - brought players through but spent also, same now actually but the weight is with development i guess you can't argue with any of this can you NE5? therefore, imo, ashleys main failing with trying to implement the "system" you seem to so willingly ridicule is that he's not backed it with hard cash on the first team, but then none of us know what his intentions are/were/will be with regards the club i don't know enough about what they've set up at grass roots level but it seems a little slapdash to me as i've heard about dennis wise & his team but what i'd really like to have heard about was the club targetting top class youth coaches to bring players on - there's no point in bringing in the kids if we have coaches who can't get enough out of them...as i say i don't know enough about this side but as i've heard nothing from anywhere about it i'll assume we've got the same youth coaches we had before who wrung virtually nothing out of the system it's almost like ashley 'heard' the way to go was to follow this 'system' but doesn't fully understand it or something, much like most of the posters on here imo who spent half the summer lauding ashley's lack of transfer activity and are probably now carrying pitchforks and burning torches roaming northumberland st in the hope of spotting the new "fat bastard" so they can run him out of town
-
He did get Anelka, Distin, Benarbia & few others in & I think M.Richards signed on his watch as well. Oh yeah & more importantly City did not go down which is always the aim for promoted clubs these days. crack a smile man, ffs

That whole paragraph made me giggle actually: "Keegan is prepared to stay at Toon, it's said, but only if (a) he is given control over the club's transfer budget, (b) Dennis Wise is chased away from Newcastle by a man wielding a pointed stick, © Wise is caught by the man wielding a pointed stick, and (d) the man with the pointed stick shoves the pointed stick into one of Wise's buttocks, causing Wise to shout "yaroo!" and never come back up north ever again. However this is unlikely as (a) Ashley quite likes Wise, (b) Ashley is rumoured to be the only man in Newcastle who owns a pointed stick, and © the last time Keegan was let loose with a budget, he spent £50m in 15 months at Manchester City on players like Jon Macken, Michael Tarnat, Trevor Sinclair, Vincente Mattias Vuoso, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler, Roger Hunt and Ian St John. That'll be him off, then." aye, they're a set funny fuckers alright
-
I tend to agree with you. I reckon they'll make an example of him again. Which he fucking deserves actually. on the pitch? arguable in his life, absolutely arguments aside it's only us that'll suffer anyways
-
they'll put the boot in imo, kick us when we're down without a doubt
-
you can give a scouse tramp wealth beyond his wildest dreams but you'll never take the scum out of the man, is the lesson here the fact he actually considered letting his mates give someone a hiding but only stopped 'cause another scouser he knew was present should be grounds for criminal prosecution imo at least barton is all heat of the moment stuff to my knowledge, not like he's got gangs of people ringing him up to see if they want godfather joey to give the go ahead for random attacks wanker
-
from the guardian yesterday, for a bit of much needed mirth: "the last time Keegan was let loose with a budget, he spent GBP50m in 15 months at Manchester City on players like Jon Macken, Michael Tarnat, Trevor Sinclair, Vincente Mattias Vuoso, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler, Roger Hunt and Ian St John" sobering thought that mind
-
not before the hull game but i agree
-
it'll be an interim shothouse appointment until the club is sold, within the next month imo, then KK will be back ashley will not have the heart for this now - shepherd, for all his faults, was local and a fan and that shielded him from peoples dislike ashley doesn't have that - once the inevitable backlash starts at the games he'll be looking to sell for a proift very quickly imo
-
been out of the loop for a while, what has wise actually DONE other than his job? i'm genuinely interested in that 'cause it seems to me he's being singled out due to people lot liking him due to his playing days and the fact he's small and southern any evidence he had anything to do with KK's situation coming to a head? aside from the papers we're not allowed to believe saying it's true?
-
This!. aye canny post that macca; i've intentionally stayed away from this board for the last few days 'cause i knew it'd all be overreactions and shooting down anyone with dissenting voices as happened all summer by the fucking "wait and see" brigade (no i've not forgotten you lot, we waited, we saw, worked a treat eh?) anyways that aside seems to me KK must have rapped due to the rumoured player sales rather than the ones that were being brought in...he's said too much in support of the structure for it to be a massive problem - in fact the only thing he's talked more about since the season started is supporting barton & shouting about getting owen to sign...if the club attempted to sell both of those players against his will then imo this will be the reason keegan ain't no idiot, he'll see the players we've got in are good, better than what we had, so why would he leave just 'cause he didn't sign them? he knows the club is bigger than the man & for me it doesn't wash... on the other hand if he agreed to sell milner on the proviso he'd be replaced with "player x" and that didn't happen plus the mooted sales of owen & barton then it makes the most sense imo the club will be sold in the not too distant future and he'll be back as manager but until then macca is right, the next managerial appointment will show the direction the club is gonna go under ashleys ownership as well - if it's a wise crony forget it, if he goes for an established guy such as hiddink (although he's out of our league imo) then it'll send a message
-
to be fair the smugness on here from people who insisted the press "knew nothing" 'cause we signed guthrie & spiderman from under their noses was equally as sickening - apparently it discredited everything else they had to say apparently

bullshit theory but the players we've brought in potentially recommended by the new guy? that spanish fella they were on about ages ago? would be the only ray of hope 'cause to think we'd appoint a manager that doesn't fancy the lads we've just brought in is terrifying -

Been done before. Many many times, in fact. If whenever there was a media frenzy, something actually happened, M'ON would have been our manager twice over, Shearer thrice, KK every single time we have an opening, Redknapp before KK was actually appointed and Ashley would have sold the club a week after he bought it. Honestly, there's been a bunch of times where the media has said 'confirmed' '100%' 'sure thing' and it's turned out to be false. I'm not doubting that there's been a meeting today but honestly, why would the press have a club about what's going on? Who is giving them information? And why didn't this person give them any reliable information for the past two months? What's changed? Many of our fans are gullible and the press just lurvvvvv the fact that it's so easy to whip us all into a frenzy. can't a agree with a word of that apisith, can think of no time when the media have been this certain about something & it turn out to be false -
