  1. I think I'd just give up watching football if I hated Ronaldo and Messi like. They're both clearly cunts Doesn't mean I think they're not great footballers.
  2. Fuck, forgot him. Would replace Wright-Phillips with him and take Busquets off the bench.
  3. Peter Schmeichel Pepe John Terry Ashley Cole Shaun Wright-Phillips Lee Cattermole Seb Larsson Jack Colback Lionel Messi Cristiano Ronaldo Neymar Subs: Mesut Ozil, Arjen Robben, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Pepe, Sergio Busquets No keeper on the bench, #yolo
  4. I remember that mad cunt How did it go with the Korean after he was let go?
  5. England is ranked fifth in the FIFA rankings iirc.
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Sexes_(tennis)#1998:_Karsten_Braasch_vs._the_Williams_sisters most poignantly There's no way to avoid Trump, of course he's been involved in these things
  7. It was, think the woman won as well. Can't say for sure though. Edit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Sexes_(tennis) 2-1 to the men.
  8. Yeah, this is a point that people fail to see. I'm all for females being on the touch line as a manager, as a referee or lineswoman. Having mixed gender's on the pitch though just wouldn't work. I'd start Alex Morgan over Adam Armstrong, tbh.
  9. Can see the argument about physicality etc. A world class female sprinter for example would get thrashed by a poor male Commonwealth Games level sprinter. When it comes to running I read that women (if men are 100%) are 90% of 100%. So for every 100 seconds you can add 10 seconds to a female.
  10. Have you guys watched female club football, by the way? The standard is much higher (when it comes to clubs like PSG and Lyon at least) than in international matches.
  11. Was going through a Reddit thread on the same subject (Who could the best female team beat) and came across this gem: "Couldn't beat any team except Newcastle, they'd beat Newcastle."
  12. "Holding their own in League One" isn't 1 v 1 football No, but it adds to my argument. Take the best female footballers in every position and put them in a team (for arguments sake let's say they have played together just as long as the team they face so they know how to play with eachother), then have that team play Bradford. I'd never bet on Bradford. Having seen you in the Betting thread, I'm not surprised at this. Seeing how I've got quite a good betting history, that doesn't back your argument

  14. Good footballers are good footballers regardless of gender. 1 v 1 I'd say Marta or Alex Morgan would be better footballers than say Shay McCartan of Bradford.
  15. Non-league. Not even joking. I have a lot of respect for the women's game but even the best would get killed by the likes of Braintree Town. If it was best female outfield ten and an alright male keeper they'd easily hold their own in League One or something, i think. The achilles heel of female football will always be the fact the keepers are midgets.
  16. I was gonna do my favourite XI, but it seems I only like wingers Given Enrique Maldini Ben Arfa Speed Solano Beckham Donovan Gutierrez Strand Shearer
  17. For footballing reasons we should probably sell. I really like him though, so I voted keep him.

....so they go play in the Championship, for Sunderland... Surefire way to get into World Cup squads!

You knowing I think he's good means that the job's already done

That is correct, they aren't as good as then but tbf they were missing both their best strikers against Rosenborg I really want to see Griffiths in a good league, because he seeems really good but it's hard to tell in the Scottish league.

Again though, there's no comparison in club history, stature and attendances going on here. It's a quality argument. Celtic today is dangerously low on quality and players leave them for Championship sides. Celtic fifteen years ago was a very relevant club with quality. The fact a Norwegian side recently did the double over Celtic in Europe, and that a bad version of Rosenborg controls a champions league qualifier at Celtic Park examplifies just how much Celtic has fallen, because of how horrible these Norwegian teams are. I'm saying Celtic are as bad as, not saying the Norwegian teams in any way are good - 'cause they're not.

West Brom's a rather big club. If Rodgers was their manager I'd have more respect for him.

    Rosenborg upgraded. Then they downgraded.

They've been shifting Lustig centre to accomodate Gamboa at times. Not that i watch any matches, but that's what some of their recent starting elevens tell me
