Was trawling through old accounts and discovered these pieces of madness from the Sack Pardew days: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x25o1wr https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x254h2d What a time

Mats Zuccarello is one of the owners apparently

I'm 100% in the "I'll watch anything" camp, so the more matches the better IMO

Not sure if already posted, but a Norwegian consortium has bought Burton Albion - one of the key people involved being the son of Per Mathias Høgmo (former Norway manager). I need to know the odds on Høgmo being Burton's next manager, because I have a sudden urge to put my house on it

Iâve not had this much fun watching football in years, this tournament is amazing.

I mean, the âno throw-insâ rule is low-key very appealing given how fucking quick the game restarts compared to the minutes of wasted time throw-ins bring in normal games

@Mike @Deuce You guys missed seeing JJ Watt be Burnleyâs goalkeeper and Ochocinco get hammered by the Reggae Rovers who said they had no idea who he was
-
Best part is I get to watch Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey play again 𼰠https://youtu.be/6PhRq0UxF74?si=qC2IcPsZmdmpWSpP @Deuce @Mike

The Town were 3-0 up against Dortmund at HT, five mins into the 2nd half and itâs now 3-2. Absolute chaos with offsides being allowed

Marco Materazzi scored a beaut of a freekick for Inter

My last interaction with Ranger was him spamming my WhatsApp an entire evening begging me to loan him ÂŁ5k stating he was "good for it" and would "pay it back after the weekend". That was about 9-10 months ago, I'm honestly amazed he didn't get killed/beaten into a pulp by whoever he owned ÂŁ5k to that night

What I find fascinating about Castore is that I ended up ordering these one by one, as I wasn't completely sure I wanted both. However, the time between orders ended up being less than ten minutes or something. Yet, the shirt is already on its way to my house less than three days after placing the order (which is fairly quick for an international shipment). The jacket, however? It's been faffing about between Glasgow, Birmingham and "East Midlands" since it was ordered and has an estimated delivery of "May 9th"

I mean, a lot of negative stuff can be said about the journalistic qualities of the Evening Chronicle, but, I mean... https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/next-sunderland-manager-jimmy-thelin-28294936 "Thelin is currently manager of Swedish side Elfsborg and guided them to a second-placed finish in the Allsvenskan, narrowly missing out on the title on goal difference to Molde after losing 1-0 to the champions in a winner-takes-all showdown on the final day of the season." Not just the wrong team, but a team of a different nationality playing in a completely different league That truly takes some doing. MalmĂś isn't even that close to Molde when it comes to mixing up letters.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I like that they're planning the fan violence ahead of time these days -
I thoroughly enjoy your commitment to jumping into this thread in character every damn time a manager is sacked, no matter the league and no matter the nation they play in

It's a fascinating concept to think about, is it the team as a whole that makes the players shine or are they individually brilliant and able to bring that brilliance with them to a different team? I feel Brighton are an English version of Bodø/Glimt in that the general tactics of the team set-up makes the end result better than each individual part. When Bodø/Glimt were pulling up trees in Europe I was making the argument to a shitload of people that the players weren't all that, it was the manager and his vision, tactics and overall long-term planning for how the team should set up and how they should play. At the time my baseline was the performance of players at the club vs. playing for Norway. At the club they looked like worldbeaters, but put them in the national side and they looked like sunday league players (exaggerating to make a better example). The team was set up to play a certain style all the time and it was coached at all levels within the club, from the academy to the first team. If Player X got the ball in Position Y, then Player Z would know that they had to be at Position Ă because that's where Player X would pass the ball. When they played Rome they were without their supposed three "best" players, and sure, there are of course some differences between the abilities of their starters vs. their backups - such as the backup left back being less pacy than the first choice left back. However, when the game was played, you'd not be able to tell it was the backups playing instead of the starters as there were no more misplaced passes or mistimed runs than in your average Bodø/Glimt match. The players knew what they had to do and when to do it, which in turn made the team nigh unbeatable for two and a half years until clubs started figuring out how to counter their style and tactics with success. That led to a "poor" last season (by their new standards), but this season they have altered parts of their game plan and now they are running rampant in the league again. Now, with that success and the "key" players being young, they all got snatched up by clubs in bigger leagues. They all failed and came crawling back to Bodø/Glimt where they now are shining again and attracting new interest... ??ââď¸

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Kaizero replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Would dare say they are better than Häcken, but not by much. Well organised and players whoâve played together a long time. That said, as mentioned, their head coach is Magne Hoseth and the assistant coach is Daniel Berg Hestad. Hoseth has 284 league apps for Molde, Hestad 512 (only played for one other club in his career, Heerenveen for one and a half season). Forren, who Molde sacked instead of helping with his addiction after it was discovered heâd taken money from the ÂŤplayerâs sin bin fundÂť to pay off creditors - to rightful massive critique from everyone in football and everywhere else - got 293 league apps. If faith has a script ready that script will be Forren sending Molde out of the qualifiers in the last second. -

Am I right in thinking Klaksvik will be secured playikg in the ECL Group Stage if they advance through pels? -

Molde went through, which makes it even more appealing to get Klaksvik through as their manager is a club legend and their captain is a player they sacked because he admitted to having a gambling addiction It would be tasty as fuck. -
