  1. Not to rain on anyone's parade but the rule is that there needs to be two players between the last player and the goal, I can only see one there
  2. Unashamedly starting this topic to ask if anyone here has any connections to the recruitment departments in clubs in the English/Scottish league system and/or other countries than Norway, and if so, asking them to feel free to slide into my personal messages as we'll have some business to discuss. Other than that I thought this could be an interesting thread for people to discuss various job opportunities within the world of football, for those interested in that Couldn't find a similar thread when searching, but if there is one then @Mike should just merge them
  3. If you guys had a proper manager then you'd be favourites IMO. As it stands you'll probably get dumped out in the quarters when your defensive shithousery-"tactics" gets annihilated by a team with attacking talent.

  5. I find it mesmerising to realise that at one point in life I was so disconnected from NUFC that I have no recollection of players named Lazaro or Bentaleb ever playing for us I don't think I watched a single game that season.
  6. Not sure if already discussed somewhere, so my apologies if it is. But, I absolutely loved Pep's response to Zlatan's diss of him Essentially, Zlatan said in an interview that the only thing stopping Haaland from becoming the GOAT footballer was Pep's ego, as Pep hated it when players were bigger than him and that's why he (Zlatan) failed at Barcelona. Pep was told the quote from Zlatan and just went for the jugular: "He is absolutely right. I hate it when Erling scores three goals. I get so envious. I tell Erling, please don't score three goals! He knows me so well, he should write another book about it."
  7. Wor Flags should make a "bring him home" banner or something
  8. Can he top this tune though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PhRq0UxF74

    7th-ometer

I think we finished 3rd on the form table if we look at only the 20 last games of last season. Might be off one or two places, can't recall exactly. Either way, that was with a squad worse than this one. If we maintain that momentum and add to it, why shouldn't we be able to replicate some, if not all of, that form? I think we'll be in the pack chasing 6th to 8th. Think Man City, Liverpool are nailed on for 1-2, then Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea will duke it out for 3-5. But 6-8? That race is wide open.
  10. There's no massive headlines on the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund owning part of Juventus and Borussia Dortmund. Very likely because it's just a wealth fund investing to gain profits by small % ownership in various companies, not actively owning said companies by being the main shareholder. This is an absolute non-story.
  11. I just wanted to say I appreciated this post in an actual post as I assume this wormhole and post took a while, it was interesting.
  12. Bodø/Glimt running rampant in the CL qualifiers at the moment, think they'll make the group stage. Would be the first Norwegian team in there in 14 years.
  13. Why do you have a picture of Joelinton holding a bag of coke? (I know it's photoshopped, I'm just entertained by the thought you did that yourself for some reason )
  14. Bodø/Glimt really did not enjoy losing 1-0 away to Linfied last week, ended 8-1 on aggregate
  15. I hate pre-season friendlies between teams that play in the same league for some reason.
  16. Average height of a female goalkeeper in the English PL is 172cm, whereas the average height of a male goalkeeper in the English PL is 190cm. That's a height difference of 18cm on average. Men also genetically have longer arms than women tend to do, so there's a clear discrepancy here which will be to the detriment of the women's game for ages as you can't really fix that without altering the size of the goals, which would be offensive to do.
  17. You can say the same argument for men's handball (not that any of you English lot care about handball), but the male goalkeepers are far too big for the goals in that sport. It's the same thing here, there's a reason why most male goalkeepers are pushing 200cm in height.
