  1. Kjetil Knudsen interviewed with Leeds yesterday #itk
  2. Around the time I lost my sanity in the Traitors thread
  3. For real though, it's a massive pad Got another option lining up as well with a stocked bar.
  4. You need to travel light to commit some international murder you know ??‍♂️
  5. Looking like I have managed to snag a fancy and central airbnb. It's got two bedrooms more than I can fill alone, so PM me for details if you still need accomodation. Can divulge details in said PM, it'll no doubt be cheaper than anything else you'll find and higher standard.
  6. Tried to see what I can shake loose on airbnb, sent some good old fashioned quid pro quo offers to properties on the nicer end of the scale. Should that not pan out I'll just go the usual route and pay full price like a common street urchin.
  7. Once I sort accomodation I'll go for Oslo - Edinburgh, seems both easiest and most cost effective.
  8. Both Oslo - Edinburgh - Train to Newcastle and Oslo - London - Train to Newcastle seem to come out at around the same cost. Now just need to look at lodging, on first glance the prices made my eyes bleed Feel like I arrived on the conclusion to travel just as the supply/demand level for rooms/airbnbs went out of whack.
  9. Seen those, but don't want to waste so much on ticket prices. My days of being rich-rich to the level I won't care about ticket prices are hopefully (knock on wood) closing in on me, but not here quite yet
  10. Cheers What are the prices on average for a train ticket from King's Cross to Newcastle? And how long does it take? Can't imagine it'd take more than 7 hours given how compact England is? A train from Oslo to Trondheim takes about 7 hours and I feel that distance is longer than London to Newcastle when looking at a map
  11. If anyone more experienced with travel planning than me could try to figure out the easiest/cheapest route from Oslo to Newcastle and back, I'd be eternally grateful. No knowledge of train/bus systems in England and there's no direct Oslo - Newcastle flights. To make things easier I could travel with only hand luggage, with regards to changing planes. London having airports west, east, south and north of London just complicated matters and confused me as I could fly in to Gatwick but then would need to fly out of Stansted, but between those there's essentially a two hour ÂŁ200 taxi drive which would be more expensive than the flight tickets themselves No issues with taking a bus or train from say Manchester, Bristol or even London if that's easier/cheaper and I make it up in time. Thinking I could arrive on Thurs/Fri and depart on late Mon or anytime Tuesday. Also, if anyone wants to split costs on hotel/airbnb I'd be open to that. Or if anyone have a spare couch. Only issue you'll get is my snoring as my C-PAP machine alone makes traveling without checked lyggage impossible, so ditching that for the weekend All that said, I might be in London and not Oslo on the Thurs/Fri, so any assistiance on cheapest/best travel/routes from there to Newcastle would also be appreciated.
  12. Everybody would have been over the moon finishing 8th if that was the option given before the season. We're now well over halfway through the season and in 4th place, nobody would be over the moon with going from 4th to 8th over the course of the rest of the season. It all depends from what point you start you expectation level, you can't erase the reality that we're 4th at the moment and only lost one league game this season. Ending up finishing 8th from this position would be a disappointment, whereas it would not have been a disappointment for our pre-season ambitions as fans - it would have been significant development from the season before. We've exceeded expectations massively though, which raises expectations.
  13. I think we'll get 4th. The main competitors all are having shit seasons and on paper we're better than the other ones in the mix. Only real worry at this stage is Tottenham, but they blow hot and cold. 10 points on Chelsea with 48 points left to play for. Chelsea will need to close the season extremely strong/we have to finish extremely shit to mess up that gap. Both obviously possible scenarios, but from a purely statistical standpoint it's unlikely. If Liverpool win both games in hand, we have a 6 point gap. That is more scary and our match against them might be the deciding point. Lose it and I think it's a high likelyhood of them closing the gap, win it and I don't think they will. Get a draw and it'll be tight but think we'll manage to hold on. Tottenham, as said, blow hot and cold. I don't think they'll finish strongly, but then again there's no guarantee we will either. 538 says we have 44% likelyhood of qualifying, Tottenham 29%, Liverpool 20% and Chelsea 5%. I feel those are appropriate chances looking at the table and fixture list. My personal opinion and gut feeling says 7 out of 10 times we'd qualify based on the current standings.
  14. Only real "hope" at this stage is that the hospitals are overrun and that notifying next of kin isn't top of their list of priorities. Other that I guess we all have to brace for sad news
  15. Way to miss the point, he was saying he failed there. He didn't fail at Salzburg. Failing to absolutely stomp the league with Salzburg would be a failure. Kinda like Celtic in Scotland during the non-Rangers years.
  16. 68.09% win percentage at RB Salzburg and won the double two times in a row before he was poached by RB Leipzig, he wasn't sacked by RB Salzburg. Wouldn't say he failed the company job. If all his PL matches with Leeds were "one season", he'd have Leeds at 33 points with 6 matches to go. Wouldn't say people would say he was an outright failure if people looked at Leeds at that point of a season, just not outperforming expectations. Not saying their recent form in the PL hasn't been absolute shit and that it doesn't look like he'll turn it around, though. Just feel any manager, or person for that matter, should be attacked for their actual failures and not for fake failures that gets thrown on top of the real ones.
  17. Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit.
  18. 99% of humans are like that though. Saw a statistic once saying that a majority of first price lottery winners (with massive payouts) go broke and/or die within five years or something.
  19. Not that I necessarily agree with the core concept of greed and luxury, but Drake (of all people) put it in words that I'll now butcher by paraphrasing: "When you don't have a million dollars, you dream of being able to buy what people that have a million dollars can buy. When you get a million dollars, you dream of being able to buy what people that have ten million dollars can buy. When you get ten million dollars, you dream of being able to buy what people that have a hundred million dollars can buy. There will always be something too expensive for you and you will always want to earn enough money to be able to get it. When you have a lot of money, you buy more expensive things, so you burn through it almost at the same rate as you did when you didn't have that amount of money - because the stuff you now want to buy, and can buy, are expensive."

    Reflections

Barely got to watch a single match, as did most others I knew. No mass viewing parties outside, everybody working or otherwise busy. Not saying it wasn't great for you but for me it was the exact opposite
  21. Will people finally start listening to me when it comes to Southgate being a defensive minded no backup subs or gameplans piece of shit manager? Or do we have to wait until you guys get knocked out in the quarters?
  22. Would never in a million years happen, not at all how we invest our oil money. All investments are made with profit in mind.
  23. Camera isn't head on there, it's slightly angled. Was offside. If this was a corrupt game it wouldn't be 2-0 now and Ecuador would never have gotten a pen.
