He's only played 565 minutes (or 6.2 matches), hardly a goalless run to warrant your current dislike of him. True but he's missed at least one sitter I can think of. It's true, but he's raw and should in all honesty not be in contention to play just yet, rather he should be out on loan at another side to get better and miss his early sitters there. To paraphrase Redknapp on loaning Kyle Walker to Villa, "he'll get Premier League experience there and if he makes mistakes they won't be costly for us". It's all a bit silly to talk shit about the lad just yet though, considering the amount of minutes he's had and how they often come at the very end of matches so he's without the chance of getting into a proper "flow". Blatantly needs to be loaned out next season, mind. It's all very touch and go still, obviously. This. Why? Ranger hasn't a hope of scoring any more than Loven does. Ranger has played 565 minutes the equalent of 6.2 matches. Lovenkrands have played 1105 minutes, the equalent of 12.2 matches. However, Lovenkrands have scored five goals. Which means he's on a 1 in 2.45 goal run, and thus on paper is more likely to score than Ranger. But, the thing is, Ranger have only really played half of what Lovenkrands have played, which means the jury is still out on who's the more likely to score as Ranger could in theory score five times in 5.8 matches and thus be the more probable goalscorer of the two over the same amount of given time on pitch.

The thing that annoyed me the most today was just what the fuck Ameobi kept doing down at the centre of the pitch? He did not in any way contribute to the defensive part of the game there, and he was too far out of position to have much of an influence in counter attacks. Angered me, such wasteful positioning.

Imagine if he was some Linguist Genius and knew over 28 languages. I'd pay money just to watch Ranger try and spell Linguist. I'd not, that'd be wasted money on a boring session with a predictable outcome.

To me it just feels like his ego is ten sizes too big rather than not caring about winning with his team. He thinks he's the finished product and acts that way, in no way does that imply he doesn't actively want his team to win, though. Obviously neither a massive ego or not caring is a good thing, mind. And he really needs a reality check asap or I too think he's a lost cause. I just think it's a long stretch to go from massive ego to saying he gives absolutely no shit about the club while he's at it, i.e. implying he doesn't even care about his team winning/getting results.
