Have to say, I think it was worth you asking. It seemed a reasonable suggestion to me, though I am not to fussed about discussing fixtures too far ahead personally. What has surprised me is the reaction. I can't decide whether it's because you're not one of the accepted elite or there is just a hell of a lot more whiny bitches on here then I realised. All you've done is said "I've had an idea, is anybody interested? ". Thought that's what a forum was about? Shit ideas are shit no matter if the person pitching them have 100 000 posts or just 1. I said in my first post I was open to hearing what good would come out of this to change my mind, all I've been told is "if I don't like it I don't need to say anything".

I have a big issue with throwing money away. It's just stupid, sorry.

Exactly. I don't care if, say, Pilko thinks we will beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 in season 2011/2012. Not that it wouldn't be a nice thing to have freedom of, but it doesn't seem worth the £300+ quid each year. Ya for me it's actually the freedom to discuss what we want that matters, not necessarily the constant use. Plus we will be unique as I imagine we will be one of the few forums around that would have such freedom. So we'll get loads of fans from other clubs wanting to post their fixture lists too. Only they can't. Another good point, if this went through we can only post our fixtures. Which would mean even more hassle for the mods as instead of just <snipping> out fixtures, they now have to see the difference between the fixtures posted to make sure it's ours.

Done the same now, but got £1 returning £8424.68, where'd you do yours?

Thank god your (you're) not a teacher. I said thats (that's) what "we could play". Never said i (I) would Apologies your (you're) obviously foreign and (and have) not got a grip of the language yet (either that or your (you're) just not very bright). Could is a word used to express possibilities... You may wish to look it up in a big book called a dictionary. For starters. Edit: Dave beat me to it.

He can argue his point, that's what makes him a good poster even if one's in agreement or not. It's the lesser posters who can't argue their opinion that get angry and call him a shit poster.

Ronaldo's one of the better posters on here tbh.

Been cruising around 14-16 since gameweek one, and the only change I've made was to bring in Ben Arfa for Jonas.

The waste of money is shown by just how little need there is to be able to discuss these fixtures openly, you better start your own "let's discuss the fixtures in this thread to get our money's worth" thread if you go through with it, because otherwise it'll just have been wasted. We hardly discuss anything beyond our next, or next two, matches regardless and I don't see where discussing the next five/ten fixtures would at all be relevant on a consistent basis.
-
That's not a bad idea tbh.

You need 5 more, VAT will push it just below the £290 mark. They'll need a lot more "yes"'s, at least four or five times more. No way in hell are all those who have voted yes coughing it up.
-
I have a big wad of cash on us winning, so obviously it will be a draw or a loss.
-
What bugs me is that what you'd really be paying for is simply to be able to write a team name in front of W/L/D when talking about what one think is possible to gain from x amount of upcoming games, usually only in the pre-match thread or post-match part of the match thread. Also that this will inevitably make someone who donates to this not donate to the site hosting when that time of the year comes around, and that is far more important than being able to do what I said earlier in the post a few times now and then. Not to mention this would be an annual thing as well, so there'd be two drives for the members money each year. And I don'tmsee the need in risking to upset the balance of things by putting this (bigger) drive in annually as well. There's just no need to pay that sort or money for what you get in return, which is nothing. And it baffles me that 19 people so far want to be a part of buying nothing.
-
There's been a lot of good arguments as to why we shouldn't cough up for the rights, and none for why we should. I think it's settled tbh.
-
Like? You're not going to say charity are you? Pretty much everything else related to the forum would have better use of the money for the members.
-
You have to pay it every year as well IIRC.
-
I just don't really see the need as the fixtures are on so many other sites, and we all pretty much already know who we're facing over the next few weeks already. We've done good on here without them, don't see what difference having them would really make. Would rather just give a tenner to charity. Feel free to make me change my mind though. Sell me it, why do we need it? What difference would this make in my N-O life?
-
Why not just donate money to charity? We've done more than alright without fixtures up to now, anyways.
-
He's clearly not an NUFC fan though, mind.
-
Why are people trying to discuss something with a mentalist? It's just no use, once mental always mental.

Fuck it, good value. Done it.
