I think one of my first ever posts on this forum was me saying I thought we should sign Braaten back in 2006. Time flies.
-
Braaten is doing well for Toulouse and is regularly featured for Norway. Still haven't figured out how to keep his "on" button on all the time, mind. Goes from absolute fantastic in one match to absolute dross in the next and back to absolute fantastic again.

Slovenia aren't that bad tbf. Most of their wins have been against shit teams tbh, the only good team in ther qualifying group (the Czechs) they drew and lost against. Looking at their players one by one I just get angry that they're even at the WC. That said, now I've called them shit and useless they're bound to win the whole thing to make me look a right cock, mind.
-
You'll get out of your group, albeit maybe in second place. But Algerie and Slovenia ffs, they're even shitter than shit tbh.
-
Could've told you that before the match. Silly bet if you included them.

Atleast great when in this form. And free in the summer? Unless he signs a new contract, yeah.

Huseklepp is such a fucking sexy beast.

Slovakia are shit. Norway are sexy.

I think the US top is dreadful. Could do without the red collar and all the polychromy. But, yes, the sash is quite reminiscent of the shirt worn in 1950. I wonder if the design was chosen because the US is playing England in the World Cup. It was. And since I can't double quote, I'll just point out that the home jersey has been leaked, just not released yet. http://cdn.majorleaguesoccertalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/USA-world-cup-2010-nike-shirt-leaked.jpg Like that one much more than the Red one. The blue one is pretty decent though too. Same here. Seems like a lot of people don't, judging by here and BigSoccer. Quite like that, look forward to ordering one.

The record early start for the Norwegian season (13th March) may see postponed games because some clubs who does not have astroturf might not get their pitches ready in time. http://www.vg.no/uploaded/image/bilderigg/2010/02/04/1265292100561_136.jpg

Yeah, but it's a clear fail tbh as it just looks silly.

One hindrance is that the clock isn't stopped in Football, which could make it difficult to make sure the correct time is spent there and so on. I'm all for it if they find a way to execute it in a good way without making too many changes to the existing game. (i.e. starting to stop the clock to use this rule etc.)

The puck must cross the blue line before any player, basically. I think they are talking about field hockey. They're not. Unless you mean the quoted text in the OP, and not Towelie and the others.

It will no doubt end up like playground football, just kick the ball up as far as you can and let the moochers fight over who gets to score. Awful idea. On the other hand, the "sin bin" is not such an awful idea.

Have you closed up your ass yet? The Smudger is waiting. It saddens me that this sort of question ranks above the forum awards, my dearest Tom. Damn right it ranks above it. Now have you closed it up yet?

Let's stitch that up then.

Slip, score and break leg would be ideal. To be honest, England >>> Owen. For ENGLAND's sake I want Owen to score. Miss and someone like Lampard or whoever bags the rebound. You'd not want anyone to score for them, man. Spain will be there.

It's that time a year again, the time for us all to laugh and complain about how incredibly ugly some of the new home/away/third shirts for other teams are. Some WC kits to start us off: http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/nike-world-cup-2010-kits-7.jpg http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/nike-world-cup-2010-kits-3.jpg Bayern Münich: http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/bayern-munich-10-11-adidas-110th-anniversary-kit-5.jpg
