The only thing that is important is that the squad is improved, if the squd is visibly improved by the end of this window i would be more happier if we'd spent £5k then i would if we'd spent £15m becasue that way it would prove the effectiveness and value of this set up and system. And if changes were unsuccessful I'd give Ashley much more credit for committing money to it than not. Good players are good players, if they fail when they come here it has nothing to do with there transfer fee. the only picture that people should be considering is how much the squad is improved. The fact that a £10m failure would be more accpetable than a £10k failure says alot about you're way of thinking. I didnt relaise you were from the NE5 school of thinking. Expenisve players = good players Cheap players = shit players. Good point. I'd rather us spend £100k trying to get the next Kaka than £100 Mill on the current one. -
You're mistaking Geremi for being an actual footballer though.

Well, no. Since Kinnear has been the one telling the press he wanted Riise I pretty much think we were after Riise. -

Are we allowed more than one more long-term loan considering we got Nacho on our books though? -

http://pub.tv2.no/multimedia/na/archive/00641/Erik_Huseklepp_641730p.jpg He's already commented on the rumour and basically shot it down already though. "I've not heard anything, so I don't know if it's just rumours or if they're interested." -
"He has some nerve breaking down that close to Newcastle"

Was just about to post the same thing... Same here

Actually, Kaka came either third/fourth/fifth. Messi came second.

Heskey back to Liverpool http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1112323/Wigans-Heskey-Kops-deal-old-club-Liverpool.html If true I do have to wonder why the hell Benitez chooses Heskey to bring back to Anfield rather than Owen.

Shame, he shouldn't have been on the pitch. His attitude towards the officials in the first half was shocking, and Webb just ignored it. He kept raising his arm in gestures to him, telling him to 'fuck off', ignoring him, intimidating the assistant - not even a yellow card. Got away with murder. You forget he plays for Manchester United. No ref does anything bad against them, and if a game is 0-0 it's common ref knowledge to add Fergie Time to the normal added time so they can get a winner.

I couldn't, money down the fucking drain.

Boyd is one of those player's that's shite overall but still pops up and scores vital goals. Kinda like a bad version of Pippo Inzaghi, wouldn't say no to him if he was cheap though. But even in our current condition we should and probably can do better.

I don't see how Riise is an improvement of anything though. Only thing would be he might give a little more coming forward than Enrique, otherwise I'd say they're pretty evenly match ability wise at the moment. With the exception that Enrique has potential and Riise's ability is declining.
