The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

confirmed in the Chronicle today(or maybe they got their info from this forum more likely) Not the Flo I am thinking of is it? Please GOD NO!!!!!!!!!! :frantic: Hovland is supposed to be really good. Hes a relation appearntly... If it is Even Hovland and Per Egil Flo, they play in the second tier in Norway, and has by no means set the league on fire with their performances. Both regarded as quite big talents, and have been regular for the u19, and should be for u21 soon enough. (if they arent already). However those are for the future if they are signed, and we won't see much from them for atleast a year or two. Which is what Kinnear has already said about them. -
Haha no, it's just a kickabout. Which is why it would be fun if it was on the radio or something as I'd not feel devastated if this Newcastle XI lost.

Will this be on the radio or something?

Hes a relation appearntly... According to his uncle, he's most similar to Tore André Flo, of all the Flos. But don't worry, that only means he's better with the ball at his feet than with the defender's face at his elbow. He's rather small for a Flo, at only 182 cm (~6 ft), and plays in midfield. Left footed. Blond. ¨ He's a left back that can play as a left winger. -

Who does Hovland play for? Both play for Sogndal IL in the Norwegian equivalent of the Championship. And I doubt the other one besides Flo would be Forren, seeing how Forren would probably cost around £2 Million and I doubt we'd want to spend that "much" on someone not going into the first XI. -

Difference between players in their mid-twenties to youngsters though. -

Turned 20 today, 6'0", in my opinion good enough to walk straight into a good Championship side. Can only get better. One of the brightest young prospects in Norwegian football at the moment, so not a bad catch. -

This is apparently one of the Norwegian dudes on a trial over here, Per Egil Flo, left back: http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v341/157/118/782305656/n782305656_4565623_6750.jpg -

If it wasn't for the fact that Skjelbred would cost millions I'd think he was the midfielder trialist or something. -
It's got something to do with that idea Partridge had for a TV show. 'Bad Attitudes.' Speaking of Partridge he should do the commentary on our game on MOTD tonight: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hzSQ3xgoh-w "The goalie has football pudding all over his shirt!"

I'll follow Oldtype's example and go for someone from my own country. http://gfx.api.no/image-versions/www.ranablad.no/n/01764/1204898786000_No_name_1764154n.jpg Jacob Falch Meidell, a defender/midfielder we've apparently been after earlier (who now sadly have signed for a Norwegian Premier Division side rather than us). Was made captain at 17 of his hometown club, which played in the Norwegian second division. Would've been an excellent prospect, though now, if he becomes a success in his new club, will probably be sold in the future for £3-4 Million rather than being brought in for less than like... £10 000. Another interesting player I've seen is the Finnish striker Patrik Lomski, who plays in the top Finnish division already at just the age of 19. Will be great in the future I reckon. http://www.palloliitto.fi/mp/db/tiedotteet/foo/IMG/90561/kuva0_suuri/489166

I feel the same way. It's torture. Just to throw this in the mix, and to share the pain of this thought....imagine us against them. Go on, imagine it. Messi got nothing on Wor Shola.
-
I think Messi's one player you couldn't put a price on. So probably about 300 million then. One...... BILLLLIIIOONNNN! http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/specialevents/blog/Dr.%20Evil.jpg

Nooo, we want Hull to lose man! Arsenal take the lead, sexy. An exceedingly sexy game of football, it appears. Sexy football you say? http://lagalaxy.theoffside.com/files/2008/04/gullit-chelsea.jpg That reminds me of one of the most quotes I've read "Ruud Gullit arrived at Newcastle promising "Sexy Football". Little did the Newcastle supporters know that Gullit had some weird fetishes."

Nooo, we want Hull to lose man! Arsenal take the lead, sexy. An exceedingly sexy game of football, it appears. Indeed, there are some strapping young men running around on that pitch. Like that Danish bloke who just made it 3-1, he'd look much better in black and white clothing though if I dare say so.

I'll honestly lol if Alan Smith comes back and actually becomes a god on the pitch.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

We'll win. Then the board will explode with "We're gan to Europe now liek." only for us to lose the upcoming three next fixtures and the board to explode with "We're gan down now liek."
