  1. I think the other way on is far more odd personally. So hou want a game of wrong decisions, reeto. Aye, the previous 130 years of professional football have been absolutely s***. When you lose from a wrong decision, it sure is. Surprised you got interested in the game then, or have you just jumped on board in the last two years now that your offsides are pixel perfect? I've enjoyed football before now, but my enjoyment is higher now there's less chance of shit decisions being a deciding factor.
  2. Would open them up to lawsuits firing him before he's officially charged with anything. Gardening leave would be the most they could do until that point I guess.
  3. Hyperbole, tbf I'm obviously not a fan, however. He's being portrayed as a saint but he's (as far as I can tell) just another cunt. Story of how he made a thirteen year old youth player cry being the point of no return for my disliking him
  4. I don't hate Messi, I just prefer Ronaldo. Or well, I did until Ronaldo got outed as a full on rapist.
  5. x 1 for just disliking Firminho 'cause of his face.
  6. Best thing about them. More clubs should have neutral blocks.
  7. Barton's a blindspot with our supporters, he crossed a few balls in for the best header of the ball I've ever seen at Newcastle, went to jail, and said naughty words about Ashley. That's literally everything he did. Guthrie on the other hand, was one of our most important players in 09/10, particularly after we bought Routledge and he moved to the middle, and then stood in admirably for Cabaye in 11/12. I couldn't care less if Barton had the reputation as the better player or was seen as the better player in training or whatever, in terms of their contribution here, Guthrie wipes the floor with Barton. Agree to disagree, I doubt we'll change our opinion so not really much to discuss. I fully accept your viewpoint however, as Guthrie wasn't bad either. Just in my memory, for whatever reason, Barton had a larger impact (to me). That said, red card against Liverpool wants me to not have that viewpoint, but alas.
  8. I still dont see the point of giving him a contract now, why not just wait till the season ends ? Clubs that aren't run like us would start looking for/talking to players they want to bring in before the season ends. Harder to convince them to join Man Utd over other interested parties if they don't know which manager they'd be playing for.
  9. I mean, Barton's a cunt. That doesn't mean he wasn't an okay footballer when he wasn't in jail or injured, at least compared to Guthrie. Much better than Gosling when here, but hard to say which one is the okay-est footballer now given how we misused Gosling and him now doing okay at Bournemouth.

54 is losing it, someone take his keys before we all crash.
  11. Copied you but added another Newcastle team in there for good measure, rugby or something I think they play
  12. Those kind of bets are my favourites
  13. John Carew proper hated football his entire life, but he was good at it and wanted to make money so he could pursue his acting ambitions without feeling any economic pressure
  14. That's impressive, but how many of those matches were draws? Draws also mean unbeaten you know
  15. Wait, what? You mean the very same TT that's been on here longer than you is new?

  18. £100 on Rosenborg, Molde & Ranheim @ 12.59 with a double the odds bonus at Unibet, so 25.18 £50 on the same three, but also Sandefjord and Sogndal @ 31.79

    Sunderland

Yet to meet anyone in the US that knows what Sunderland is. Not that it comes up organically, but when discussing football and me being a Newcastle fan, the conversations sometimes go to "who's your rivals" and when I say "Sunderland" is when the blank face arrives. They'd been expecting Man Utd/Liverpool or some club they've heard of I reckon. That said, I think most actually only really know of us due to Shearer, as it seems like some kind of name association game every time it comes up: "Who do you support?" "Newcastle" "Ahh, Alan Shearer."
