3rd to 5th i reckon. If England played a season in the premiership the team would gel more as a team, and considering the total lack of quality outside the top 4, i think they would probably be fighting Arsenal for 4th spot.
-
Who does then? FSS Ramage ofcourse FFS.
-
FFS Injured isn't he FFS?
-
Duff or Emre.
-
SJH has around 30%, not 70%.

He can't afford it. He'd have to borrow. The club would then be lumbered with paying off the debt. That combined with his proven ineptitude in various areas would condemn us to mid-table mediocrity (at best) for a generation. So, the same as now, then? Basically, yeah, but with even less possibility of anything changing. We would be stuck with him until he dies.

-
How will Shepherd afford it??? He's rich but he's not that rich, and i think IF he could afford it he would've taken over already. I can't see it happening myself.

Sol Campbell mark II, i'd have him. We need an experianced head in the defence, i'd probably go for Distin and a nippy fullback to cover for his lack of pace aswell. Distin is as fast as shat off a stick. And whoever mentioned Mellberg. He'd be a very good option aswell, one of the most underrated players in the league IMO.

I wasn't talking about him specifically, was i? I said i haven't heard of us attempting to get a really good manager, only guys like Bruce, Allardyce etc. Why am i even bothering? I explained this in thread at the time. I asked you time and again who we should approach and you bottled it because you knew you were talking reactionary opionated utter s**** come on. 'world class managers' I think you said I do recall you couldn't decide whether we don't approach them, or just don't offer them enough money, but then again, you never let having a consistent opinion get in the way of a post There's MANY managers we could've approached, even Burley would've been good IMO, he's got a surprisingly good track record. "you never let having a consistent opinion get in the way of a post" - That parts a laugh seeing as that's the only "debate" i've been in on here, i haven't been posting here very long. Burley is a world class manager. End of thread. Don't darken my doors again. You said world class, not me. it was you. don't make me go and find it FFS I said good record. Burley wouldn't be my first choice, first i would approach guys like Hitzfeld and throw money at them, then if they were rejected i would look at promising guys closer to home like Burley who has done well at every club he's been at. I doubt i used the term "world class" as i hate the phrase, it means nothing. Hitzfeld FFS go away Good coach that was unemployed. But ok, i'll go away.

Have you been drinking dipshit? Whatever reason we ended up with him, it doesn't matter. He's not good enough and he needs to f*** off. it does f****** matter if people are going to go off on another Hitzfeld for the Toon fuckfest who's your f****** suggestion then? Go to bed man, Vic. People are pissed off tonight because Newcastle got knocked out the UEFA Cup and they don't need you acting the contrary cockend just to get a reaction. Roeder isn't good enough - that's what people are saying. You're the one talking about Hitzfeld, no one else is. from the man who says we should have gone for that dutch fuckface, and doesn't get why the f*** he's even at AZ http://www.imgpic.com/gallery/ostrich/ostrich_001.jpg

Why were they bringing up the Taylor incident every 5 minutes!?! Last night Chimbonda kicked out at a Braga player, obviously intentional unlike Taylors, and the commentators didn't even mention it.
-
For me the UEFA Cup was the only thing to justify keeping him on. Madness today, he waited until the 85th minute to make a significant change. Emre wasn't going to change the match was he?!
-
Who wasn't tonight apart from Given? Bramble? Huntington? Solano? Everyone played shite!
-
I don't see why he wouldn't be a success, the Bundesliga is probably the most similar league to the premiership in terms of style of play. And when it comes to europe he's a genius.
-
Bloody good question, on one hand Hitzfeld is one of the best there has ever been, on the other Wenger knows the league and plays good football.
-
Apparently Berbatov was actually a Newcastle fan as a kid. I assumed it was just bollocks. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2007/03/10/sfntot10.xml
-
I agree with all those apart from maybe Tevez and Anelka but that's to do with him being a dick more than his footballing ability.
-
Just imagine the hype that would surround Martins and Berbatov if they were English, it would be mental. I would say Martins but then i think Rooney is hugely overrated so that isn't saying a great deal.
-
The season before last he was made first team, but it didn't work out and they chose Adriano over him.
