For me it doesn't make a big difference who is captain, if you are a good leader then you lead, whether you have the armband or not. I was told that a good manager wouldn't need a Director of Football. Wenger is a top class coach, all this means is that he will have somebody there to organize the clubs scouting, negotiating etc, so that he can focus on what he does best.

1. Roeder needs to go ofcourse and a competent manager needs to be brought in, it will be pointless though if we just bring in a plonker like Steve Bruce though. I'm all for selling Emre though. All his set pieces end up hitting the first man, when he's pressured his passing goes all over the place, he's easily bullied out of the game, he's got temper problems, he hardly gets any goals or assists despite apparently being our most creative player, he's injury prone, and he's on ridiculous wages. No, he had 2 great seasons with Reading in the championship, he's the main man there and has been for a while. I'd also say he's more like Carrick than he is like Parker.
