If Gudjohnsen decides to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, I think we should definitely go for him. Good supporting striker/attacking midfielder who can make things happen.

could be wrong but didn't Kluivert have a goal for every european game he played for us Says on soccernet that he played 6 games (1 as a sub) and scored 5 goals. Sibierski also scored 4 goals in 9 euro matches. Ameobi with 12 goals in 26 starts + 15 appearances from the bench.

Moved on Police Advice (orders really) ages ago as Chelsea are at home to Boro on saturday and both the Met and the BTP were wary about the radgies from the 4 teams clashing, as Boro have history with Spurs and us and Chelsea and Spurs hate each other and often clash. The Chelsea game is also on sunday. Chelsea-Middlesbro 30. mar. 12:30 Tottenham-Newcastle 30. mar. 14:00 Got this from a Spurs forum: "Just received this from Paul Barber as way of an explanation. "Dear Darren We sometimes try to secure an extra day's recovery time when our players have been on international duty. Not all teams agree, but Newcastle did. Regards, Paul"

Shola away :wav: Maybe they can manage to teach him how the offside rule works over at Ipswich, we certainly haven't over the past years.
-
Think he is being tracked by some big clubs, also Marseille are in 4th place at the moment and could be playing in the Champions league next season (need to win up a 6 point lead that Nancy has on them though). Doubt that we would be able to attract him here.

Played one friendly match against Hannover was without Owen and Barton and lost 2-0. Then I went on to draw 0-0 with Wigan in the first league match The lines curve themselves when you set them to run askew.

Thinking about it, our formation is kinda weird. I tried setting it up in FM and...... http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/7940/433ni8.jpg ....close enough?
-
Owen isn't exactly in the role of an attacking midfielder though, so 4-3-0.5-2.5?
-
5.7/1 on betfair 3.35 on there being scored 4 goals or more, will probably bet a few quids on that one

I'm happy as long as Smith doesn't start

WHY DOES HE CONTINUE TO PLAY EBOUE!!!! Wenger is going senile tbh. Wenger has far too much faith in Eboue, and he just keeps getting it thrown back in his face by some of Eboue's antics. And the fact he is absolute shit at right wing, right back average to good, but Sagna is much better. Seems like he is trying to keep Eboue happy.. Can see him off to Everton/Villa in the summer tbh. On topic: When we win I have a top week, simple as that really. Should give Walcott a start at the wing. Haven't watched that many Arsenal games this season but I cant remember seeing Eboue creating much out on the wing and he sure isn't scoring. Then when Walcott comes as a sub he often changes the game with his pace and gives the opposition a lot of trouble, like in the Milan game where he had no trouble sprinting ahead of Maldini and setting up the winning goal.

Aye and of course he'll never play at Wembley again, unless he plays at Wemblay again.

Just turned 30 aint he? Also Chimbonda is 28(?) So he doesnt exactly offer anything exceptional longevity-wise. £8m on a alebit proven 28year old, who has a habit of being an arse isnt what id call a good bit of future planning. Rather that £8m go on a younger player. Chimbonda turned 29 in february, Beye will be 31 in October. I think 2x MC, left winger, forward and a right winger should be higher on our priority list than getting a new right-back. Although we won't have a back-up with Carr gone this summer

Barton in Sky's team of the week http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/6480/bartonyr7.jpg

Aye, especially with Toulouse occupying the 19th place in the league at the moment.

They're a club owned by a billionaire, Newcastle are a club owned by a billionaire... Abramovich has a net worth of 18.7bln while Ashley has a net worth of 2.0bln.

Anyone know how Rozehnal is doing at Lazio?
-
No worries Riise coming on for Torres
-
Searched for a Mascherano interview on my favorite tubing site and his English isn't that bad tbh, and besides you always learn the worst words first
-
Agree, the yellow card on torres looked innocent though. Must have said something nasty?
-
...yet Chelsea get away with surrounding the referee in every game.
-
Wonder how much we pay him...

I'm still in a state of shock. I did warn you all that this might very well happen at the start of this week, but I can not believe how meek we were today. We were shite from start to finish. Small squad, didn't take the opportunity to strengthen properly in the summer and january, and now we're paying the price. Fucking abysmal. I can't believe we lost at home to Sunderland. How was the match though? Looked like a boring match judging from the highlights. We were woeful. Sunderland were slightly less woeful. Barry - shit Agbonlahor - beyond shit Carew - rubbish Carson - calamity in waiting Knight - laughably bad NRC - unable to pass the fucking ball Maloney - lightweight Gardner - not a fucking right back. BUY A FUCKING RIGHT BACK FFS Whole season pissed away on the back of two botched transfer windows. What a fucking waste. Knight looks shit in every Villa game I've seen this season. On the bright side you guys will finish 7th according to my final league position predictor
