You're wrong on two counts.
1) We have Bale, lee, and ekotto for the lb spot which is more then enough. Chimbonda and stalteri for the right back spot which again is good enough.
2) Mido was bought for £4 million.
You honestly think all those names (Bale aside, never seen the lad play before) are going to help you reach your targted "top 4" position?
Got any source for the Mido deal?
From what I've seen if there's one thing that Luque doesn't have, it's pace. He came on as a sub in one of our (I think) UEFA games and had my entire house creasing up with laughter at how slow he is.
That was against Zulte, hilariously slow but it was his first game in like 12
But when he used to play in the La-Liga he had pace, i don't know if he still have it, hints saying (fully fit/ on form).
N'Zogbia, Martins, Owen, Dyer, hell even a fully fit/on form Luque has pace..
Almost all of Glenn Roeder's signings were physical players, what we need is a player that plays with his head, knows when to hold and when to pass a goal etc..
16.5 fucking millions?!
And thats for a team that already have 3 class strikers in Defoe, Berbatov and Keane, what the fuck are they thinking, seriously?
Shouldn't they be looking for a decent LB or RB instead of buying another overated striker for this price..
Then again, its the Spuds, they thought Mido is worth 6.5m

DID YOU READ THE MADRID STATMENT
Here it is:
Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic said: "We have taken the decision not to continue with Fabio Capello next season.
"It was a difficult decision but a unanimous one based on an exhaustive report I made to the board.
"We don't think Capello is the right person to lead Real Madrid into the future given what we want this club to achieve.
"We've laid the foundations, but we need to find a more enthusiastic way of playing."
"Now we have time to think over who will be the next head coach."
